The Greeks had more chariots and cavalry as well as a few more infantry. The Greeks had refused their left flank, massed their mounted on the right flank and tried to outflank the Egyptian left wing. The Egyptians advanced their right wing at the run to reach the Greeks refused left. Meanwhile the Egyptian reserves redeployed to support the Egyptian chariots. The Egyptian swordsmen arrived just in time to intercept the advancing Greek spearmen while the Egyptian chariots held up the advancing Greek chariots. The Sherdan and Libyan swordsmen of the Egyptian right wing smashed into the Greek left wing breaking the Greek line and charging into the Greek reserves. In the center the Egyptian swordsmen and Royal Guard first held the Greek advance and then began to push them back. With their loses mounting the Greeks withdrew.

The Sherdan and Libyan swordsmen's impact ability is one of the Egyptian armies' major advantages. The missile capability of the Egyptian chariots is usually enough to allow them to tie up their mounted opponents while the infantry wins the battle.

I got up to a good early lead, outflanking the Hungarians who had brought 4 or 5 war wagons and plenty of foot, but the Hungarians gradually clawed their way back because I found it very hard to defeat enough war wagons and infantry to get the win. At the end it could very easily have gone either way. I think if the Hungarians made one rally that the would have won the turn after

Vadim (arab conquest) won against Najanaja (viking ireland/scotts allies) 60 - 50

A very close battle fought over a hill with two tops, the Viking elite infantry could rout the Arab right wing but the Arab go the better on their left and could pivot towards the center faster than the Viking.

Battle swung after being fairly even for most of the fight when 1 battlewagon broke an enemy unit and then proceeded to hit 3 consecutive units in the flank 2 of which broke turning the game in favour of the Summerians.

Random27 (berber) defeats paulmcneil (byzantine) ---> 58-23

Once again , a battlefield with a river in the middle , a big wood on the left of the berber army permit to berber lights to hide, on the center there was a big rough ground in front of a hill . Berbers won the battle of lights , lost their right wing to delay the byzantine cavalry et hold in the center until the left wing come to help.

Blagrot (Jewish) defeated Bodhran (Dacian) 65% - 52%

The Battlefield was dominated by a large steep hill near the Dacian deployment with a shorter section on the left, I didn't want to run up the nasty hill so concentrated as many skirmishers and horse archers as possible to either pull the Dacians downhill or weaken them enough to make charges feasible. This mostly worked although some well concealed cavalry were a problematic surprise until enough flank charging horse archers finished them off, the warbands were tough enough to somewhat outlast the shooting but struggled against the cataphracts.
