Sorry had PC issues last night. Instead of throwing it out the window I had to unplug as my machine froze. Was frustrated so will try again tonight.
Seems we are cursed, or at least I seem to be. You know that will be my excuse if I lose

Never have I been beaten so quickly or thoroughly or by such a pleasant fellow!
My army melted before my eyes....

Royalists: Aryaman 5%
Parliament: Ulysisgrunt 55%
What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Report from the South-East

Aryaman won 5% vs 55% Ulysisgrunt (+50%)

The king´s army has achieved a victory at the very heart of the Rebellion. The Rebels advanced full of confidence but our cavalry countercharged his right flank with great effect, while the rebel infantry in the center was decimated by the accurate volleys of our musketeers until the whole enemy was routed before my right flanl was seriously engaged.

It is my honour to report that a major blow against the malignants has been struck in the Mid-East.

rbodleyscott (17%) was victorious against Lord Cavehobbit (63%) (46% difference). It is anticipated that the sympathies of the local populace will undergo a major change. (Or they shall face the Wrath of God).

Expecting us to remain secure behind hedges, the Royalists attempted to sneak their foot behind a large hill and through a wood to come at our right flank. This manoeuvre was foiled, however, when it was spotted by a detachment of our musketeers arriving at the edge of the wood. The advance was sounded and our men stormed over the hill to pour a withering fire into the Royalist ranks. This was followed up by a mighty charge of cavalry against their wavering ranks. (Meanwhile half of the Royalist cavalry were off the battlefield chasing one unit of Parliamentarian horse which had arrived late on the battlefield and, mistaking red sashes for orange, blundered into the right flank of the Royalist army by mistake).

Good game, thank you Lord Cavehobbit.

Lord Blathergut has surrendered his sword in the Midwest, complete with ostriche feather and pompom decorations, decorated with scandalous scenes of cherubs cavorting in a most unChristian manner. The details of the God-given victory being 15% for Parliament to 45% for the decadent royalist lackeys.

Up until the last two turns I had thought my masterful battleplan was being torn to tatters, due to the hanky-flaunting cavaliers playing havoc with my left flank. My center held and the right won, giving me the victory.
Thank you, Blathergut, for a nailbiter of a fight.

A crushing victory in the Lowlands for Warlord (9%) leading his bible bashing Covenanters against the Royalists of Ironclad (56%: 47% difference).

The wary Royalists facing the massed Scots tried an outflanking attack but were blown away when the two sides came into contact and desperate cavalry charges against the mainly raw enemy left wing got nowhere. Meanwhile Scots infantry and cavalry were able to overwhem the battered Royalist foot in the centre and its isolated horse on the left. So complete was the Scottish success that the unexpected arrival of their flanking force (despite it being an open battle)and its attack into the Royalist rear was almost superfluous. Very well played by Warlord - a battle the Cavaliers would like to forget except for it being yet another lesson as to how deadly are the Covenanters infantry masses.

My apologies, Gentlemen and Royalist lackeys

I have neglected to report the Divinely inspired debacle of Lord Turenne's Floppy hat wearing perfidious Royalist lickspittles in South Wales.

We had come to liberate the inhabitants but found the livestock was more in need of our intervention. Modesty and good taste forbids us to disclose the specifics of what the Royalists were doing with the local sheep but let it suffice to say they were too distracted to notice our approach.

The battle was quickly over. Something of the nature of 15% Parliament to 43% Royalist being the result.

My thanks to Lord Turenne and of course to Our Lord and Creator.

News from the Central East!

keyth's Royalists (43%) have defeated iandavidsmith's Parliamentarians (63%) in a hectic, no-holds-barred battle that could easily have gone either way in the last few turns.

Thanks Ian for the game!

Not sure if this was reported or not.
A messenger from the army of General Deadtorius has arrived with news of a stunning subjugation of the forces of the poodle power in Anglia Turenne(53%) Deadtorius (26%) 27% difference.
The locals should be pouring out their liquid spirits and burning their song books as a grand cloud of Dour descends upon the misguided ones.
Thank you Turenne for a great game.
