Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.5b (RELEASED)
Akkula: I went through your big scenario. It was very enjoyable - thank you for your great work. I have pm'ed you a list of the problems i encountered, i hope this will be useful. They generally fall into the following categoriess a) finnish units appearing regularly way behind the front lines b) problems with convoys not appearing to unload iether in murmansk or archengals. c) finnish and rumanian units reappearing every turn after being disbanded. d) lots of heavy units appearing regularly in the middle of crowded red army areas towards the end despite germany being overrun and pacified for a long time.
Interestingly i found that by sacrificing many weaker units for maximum enemy damage at the beginning it was possible to slow down the german advance to give plenty of prestige and time to bring up the heavier units. Of course it was important to be restrained at the beginning with the air force so as not to be overwhelmed, this gives air dominanace quite quickly as soon as there are units capable of taking them on directly.
Now for the campaign!

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.5b (RELEASED)
In the leningrad scenario:
Although i had lost other small outlying towns no city tiles marked leningrad were lost at any time yet i still got a 'defeat'. According to the briefing i should have got a marginal victory. Do i need to keep towns other than leningrad?.

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.5b (RELEASED)
oops i have worked it out; apparantly i have to hold the orangiumboom pocket as well, it might be useful to amend the briefing to reflect this in the version. thanks
Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
Hello friends!. Version 1.6 is up!
I wanted to release it later so I could include more scenarios but some urgent fixes for the big scenario were needed. Anyway I managed to add 3 new scenarios to test your skills either as Soviet or German

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
Is this save game compatible?
Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
Sure. You can keep playing the campaign without problems.
But if you want to play The Great Patriotic War scenario you should start a new game to see the new updates.
Hope it helps.

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
I think I've spotted a bug, a minor nevertheless. 75mm Vickers seems to be missing its sound files, since I don't hear anything when it fires.
Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
Thanks for the catch MarechalJoffre, everything helps.
I will fix by the next release. I hope you are enjoying the scenario
!
Thanks a lot.

That would be interesting indeedBiteNibbleChomp wrote:Soviet Storm: Cold War?

But so far I will stick with this one fantasy scenario: Operation Unthinkable. What would happen if the Allies would materialize their plan to attack the URSS on July 1st.
I have some more historical ideas to implement first, but who knows!. Maybe in some future I could try that, a mini campaign of a post war conflict between the superpowers.

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
Hello Akkula,
Thank you for your new update, unfortunately in version 1.6 a few briefings are still missing. Could you add them probably in version 1.7
The following mission briefings are still missing after all: Misson 08 - MV; Mission 09 - LOSS; Mission 14 - LOSS; Mission 29 - LOSS; Mission 34 - LOSS; Mission 35 - DV, MV & LOSS; Mission 36 - LOSS; Mission 38 - LOSS.
Not only in the missions, but also in the mission briefings you have given you a lot of effort. Keep it up!

In the expansion for the allies have a map of Sora's allies need to develop this theme )))Akkula wrote:That would be interesting indeedBiteNibbleChomp wrote:Soviet Storm: Cold War?

P.s.40 the move to Berlin was to take (the level of difficulty General ) was in 1943 ) the Enemy continued to attack near Rostov ))) the War continues )
К 40 ходу Берлин был взять (уровень сложности игры генерал ) на дворе стоял 1943 год ) Противник же продолжал наступать в районе Ростова ))) Война продолжается )

The trek to the 50th move, the enemy will discourage Berlin back )))
Походу к 50 ходу враг отобьет Берлин обратно )))

Re: Eastern Front: Soviet Storm 1.6 (RELEASED)
It would be fun to create a project about that, thats for sure. But first I want to focus on finish Eastern Front, and what await us at the launch of Soviet Corps.Richard1 wrote:It's a cool idea. Wow uzbek, it seems you managed to infiltrate a powerful force directly into the heart of the enemy!. But as I can see in the minimap, it could cost you dearly... your Baltic front seems to be at the brink of collapse!.P.s.40 the move to Berlin was to take (the level of difficulty General ) was in 1943 ) the Enemy continued to attack near Rostov ))) the War continues )

What happened with your forces at Berlin?, they were destroyed during that German counterattack
