Yeah, I planned to add a Yer-2 to Inferno initially, but then simply didn't. As for those desert planes, I'll do Sov additions first, then see what time allows. I can't make much promises at this point though.Cortilein wrote:Hey Bebro, thanks for your reply. I can imagine you're quite busy with OOBP and its expansions for the time being - makes me appreciate even more that you're still around in the PzC forums making occasional "air drops" of unit graphics.bebro wrote:do you mean a full set of all German air units?
The aircraft I mentioned in my post above are used in official Afrika Corps scenarios, and it came to my attention that those are still vanilla. I did not imply asking you for an entire new set of units - that would be a mammoth task by now, and I do really like the desert camo unit variants you already released up to this point in time.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if a unit has no bigunit info card. Many units are similar enough in appearance (and their number that great by now) that one could always re-use the bigunit icon from a similarly looking unit as an "interim solution" until a "proper" bigunit image eventually becomes available. Or one could even switch to b/w images altogether.
RE: Soviet Corps - I remember when I checked out your Eastern Front mod quite some time ago. AFAIR it contained an entry for the Yer-2 in the equipment file already, but it was not used in the scenarios nor had it its own unique unit icon. Maybe there was something on your drawing board already?
I think I did some of them for Inferno - certainly an Su-2 for example. Units used there lack big 3d pics tho, as I used BW pics there.Zhenka wrote:Thanks Bebro!
Great job! Excellent graphics!
But I see that you have forgotten about a few units of the Red Army
P-63 Kingcobra
Spitfire Mk.IX
Polikarpov R-5
Neman R-10
Yakovlev Yak-4 (or Yak-2)
Sukhoy Su-2
Arkhangelskiy Ar-2
Tupolev TB-3
I think that a lot of Russian guys will be very grateful to you if you make a full line of Soviet planes.
2nd this! Very nice!Akkula wrote: Beautiful units

I will add new stuff in certain intervals, sometimes faster, and sometimes....well, not. As with the Pz35 it's all free for further use, so no-one needs to ask for any permissions or something if he wants to include the gfx in own mods, provided it remains strictly non-profit use.

- Updated airmod to 1.22a, removed previous 1.22
Download
http://www.mediafire.com/download/hpwx2 ... _1_22a.zip (ca. 10MB)
Deactivate any GME mods for installation, installation procedure is then the same as before. If you're using the older version - this can be deleted.

- Updated airmod to PzC 1.22, replaces all aircraft for vanilla PzC, Allied Corps, partially for Afrika Korps
- Included modded PzC equipment file and efx file
Installation
It's recommended to use as GME Mod:
- After unzipping, put the resulting folder "PzC_airmod_1_22" into GME's MODS folder of your PzC installation
- activate the mod, start a campaign or scenario. All vanilla planes should be replaced now.
- this way does not need backups of original files as nothing gets overwritten
- to deinstall the mod, just deactivate it in GME, and remove the folder "PzC_airmod_1_22" again
Alternatively you can install manually by moving all unit gfx into the correct subfolders of your PzC installation.
- you also need copy the modded equipment and efx files, backup the original before
- this way is more recommended for users/modders that are familiar with PzC's file/folder structure
- it also would require a manual removal of costum files if you wish to deinstall the mod

Made all aircraft replacements available in one dl file
updated, see above
Disclaimer: as mentioned within the thread, the 3d models used to make the unit gfx are partly made by myself, partly taken from the web when available for free. I didn't credit single modellers since free model sources like 3d archive do not require it, and I doubt one of the creators is active in the PzC world so I thought it would not make much sense.

bebro wrote:The air mod has replacements for all *aircraft* in the game from vanilla up to Soviet Corps. Plus some extra air units for modders.
The rest is just few selected units, like those ships.
You can try my [Test] Equipment Mod with addition features.Surferosa wrote:Just posting to say these are exceptional- I installed it loaded up GC39 took one look at the 3 aircraft you get and had a definite 'wow' moment- they make the units so much more visually engaging. So thank you for all the hard work.
In fact, they're so good, the rest of the units look very bland in comparison. Do you (or anyone else) know if a similiar pack exists for land units? I've had a scoot around and couldn't find anything. I can either find mods that also modify the unit stats (which is something i definitely want to try, but plan on a vanilla DLC GC playthrough first), or icons that I think id have to rename / replace individually (rather than just a batch copy across job).
Either way, thanks again pal- has brought a new lease of life to the game for me.
