Aetius (Byzantines) defeats carpenkm (Kingdom of Soissons) 64-40

A deep stream and a few hills on each side made for a messy, high casualty battle. The Byzantines managed to shoot/rout a few units and eventually overpower an attack (that came close to succeeding) on a hill some of the Byzantine army was occupying. GG!

Div A

Changdao Byzantine (1155-1204) with Armenian (Cilicia) (1135-1375) draws with Kroche Sword Brethren (1204-1237) with Baltic Tribes (1050-1283).

59-44 (Byzantine rout percentage-Sword Brethren percentage).

A very close match, both armies broke sections of the enemy line with a knightly charge. The end was very tight, with the Byzantines close to breaking but being saved by nightfall.

Aetius (Carthaginians) defeats tyronec (Carthaginians) 67-42

A civil war, where both sides had their share of flanks and routs. I can't think of (or remember) an exact moment the battle turned, although at the end a few flanks and multi-attacks on the exhausted enemy units sealed the deal. Well-played by my opponent, and gg!^^

The Visigoths attempted wide flanking moves, but those that snuck through were faced by just enough Soissons. The war bands were strong and the sub romans unusually resilient. A fair amount of luck meant the battle finished before the Visigoth cavalry could roll around the flanks. Well played triarii

A last round victory with the bare minimum of casualties to win.

I felt the Dailami had a very strong defensive position with their foot sitting on a couple of hills between a waterway and a forest. I would have needed to push past the forest to attack the bulk of their army, and the forest had Dailami foot in it, which were better than my medium foot. So we ended up wtih a stand-off my spearmen standing about 6 squares away facing the Dailami army and my mediums on the edge of the forest. We did break a unit of cavalry that rashly pursued some light foot right up to my line.

But Hari72 attacked with cavalry and an elephant on my left, which I countered and my spears and Huscarls got the better of him. Gradually more units moved into the fight, which went very much my way and then on turn 48 the second Dailami elephant broke

Thanks Keith. It's a surprise to me. I played a cagey last game, and it wasn't until the very last turn that I realised there was a chance of winning it.

oscarius Scots (Isles & Highland) beats Kroche (Sword Brethren): 62 - 35 (27 difference)

Been far from a great season for me with this list proving very weak against knight-centric lists compared to my great run with them in first season (where knights were a bit underpowered) so a win at this level of play feels great. My opponent chose to hug the high ground what allowed my slightly superior firepower to grind his knights down while my infantry slowly prepared for an assault on the hill. I had enough spare reserves to thwart his flanking attempt from the forest while my infantry overrun the wide hill he was positioned upon. A hard-earned victory (as all are in A Division!) and looking forwards to my next match against Kroche.

Both armies bravely charged forward, with a lot of cavalry action happening. There was some bad luck on my opponent's side, and slowly but surely the Visigoths were routed by the Byzantine infantry helping out the cavalry. GG!
