And this is when things started to get REALLY WEIRD with the German designers, the elephant on a set of buggy wheels, the Sonderfarhgestell Flak 41. I have added the Kugelblitz to this post as I had left it out of the thread. It is in the zip file section of the downloads. Sorry about that.

This next section is of units other than Panzer IV Chassis variations, I pretty well ran out of stuff to make on the Panzer IV chassis.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
This is the Katchen Group of which there was a prototype. I also added a Pflug (plow) to one version just for the hell of it. The Racher (Avenger) is based on a Panther V chassis. The pictures I have of it are purely as a model from a Russian model forum. I have been unable to find anything else about it other than these pictures. I made a version with twin MG 42 in the turret (fully enclosed SdKfz 222 turret) and one with an MG 42 and 20mm cannon and then the version without the Pflug (plow). The huge box structure on the front of the glacis is supposedly for the relocation of some drive parts and other necessary mechanical sections that would allow for the interior of the Racher to carry individual Ground Troops in what would have been the ultimate WWII era Armored personnel carrier. The other unit I made and have long wanted to use in the game is one produced near the end of the war in from 20-30 units. It is the SdKfz 8-DB10 (Damiler Benz) which was meant to tow the heavy flak cannons and found some use in other applications, although limited due to small production. One of these was found in a Polish bog and restored to working order. I suppose it is the only one still existing in the world.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Here are the various Rocket Artillery versions I made and yes.....................the Germans did mount some of the huge rockets on the little French armor. I have pictures of all but the Lorraine 37L. But I made the unit and also a basic unit icon for the game in the zip file since the only one I could find by anyone was the Lorraine 38L. I made one Wufrahmen with additional rockets in the crew section of the 251D (the one in the game is a 251C I think) because I found some pictures of these units with the huge rockets crammed into the interior of the Stuka de Fuss halftracks. So you can tweak your Stuka de Fuss unit to have a second set of rockets from the usual 6 when you go to battle.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
The Steyer-Rheinmetall Waffentragers were produced at least in prototypes. There are some famous pictures of them. The huge Borsig Waffentragers I have never seen in anything other than models or drawings. But they would be truly awesome in the game.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
I really had wanted to do some reworking on the Somua armored vehicles and trucks for a long time and finally got the inspiration to do some. They were employed from Afrika to Russia (have seen them in pictures) in various configurations, but they definitely figure prominently in France during Normandy to rearm the 21st Panzer Division after the Afrika Korps was destroyed. The truck versions were used extensively to tow equipment and deliver supplies including pulling cannons and PaK guns.

These are the excellent and durable Unic Somua halftrack trucks in various versions. There is even one of the them in the Great Patriotic War museum in Moscow, the little Citreon Kegresse.

Hello friend PHCAS!!!!!!!!!!!! I am truly honored you like my units. Please use anything I have posted on the forum in any manner you deem fit to use them. As I have stated before years ago, anything I post is free for the asking to use, play with, change, modify or especially improve. And that goes for anyone on anything I post.

@ mike322539......................when you go to the website, you will see a folder titles Panzer Corps 2016. Just click on that folder and it opens to give you all the files individually or as a group. It works like a charm, I have tried it many times. But if problems persist, please let me know by all means.

Here is a nice wartime reference photo for the French Unic-Somua trucks. Check out the camouflage pattern. There is one to match in DCS.
