The Lithuanian archers shot away at the screen of lights protecting the Portuguese knights. Miraculously, due to the spearmen up front and pursuits gone wrong, the archers got some more shots before the knightly charges. The charges came too late though.

edb1815 Crusader 1155-1291 w/ Fatimid Egyptian defeated angusosborne Tuareg 950-1500 AD: 47-22

The Crusaders came with a missile heavy force to exploit the camels weakness. A large enclosed field in the center of the line protected the vunerable artillery and crossbowmen. A command of horse archers and turcopoles was stationed on the left flank and on the right a patch of rough ground held more crossbowmen. A standard wagon with spearmen and dismounted knights anchored the center. Quite a few of the camels were disordered as the missiles started to fly and on the right several camel units were routed by bowfire. Eventually the Tuaregs attacked the center with a mixed force of infantry and camels. A timely charge by a Crusader knight after defeating a camel unit hit the flank of the line and caused several units in the center to rout.

Well played by my opponent, his first defeat I believe.

A juicy matchup for my Tuaregs with an open battlefield and an outnumbered enemy army of cavalry and squishy infantry. I outflanked the Mamluks on both sides, charged in and got the cavalry on the run leading to rear and flank attacks. I did lose some units to shooting. Thanks for the game.

Tough fight. The Macedonians stood holding a strong position and the Sarmatians took the initiative winning the light infantry contest before advancing to meet the enemy lines. A highyl effective Macedonian counter-attack using hidden units and their main right flank units sandwiched and severely damaged the Sarmatians attacking force. Although the latter survived their depleted cavalry was unable to regain a winning position and the battle ended in a well deserved draw.
