I see you have signed up for Early Middle Ages and you can have my place in the Themed Event. Classical Antiquity still has 3 vacancies if you are interested in that section.

One factor maybe due to the combinations of DLC into the leagues. The more DLC are in a league the fewer people that will be eligible to play as you need to have all DLC to compete. I wanted to be in Late Antiquity again, but I don't have Age of Belisarius so this means I'm excluded.

If you combine Rise of Persia into Classical Antiquity then this may exclude me from all Digital Leagues :(

I think this is something for you to consider when creating the leagues. IMO it's much simpler to have a league based on each DLC.
I think the problem with that idea would be that there are eventually likely to be up to 10 DLC's (if FOG1 is anything to go by) and to have a separate section for each DLC would split the league up into very small groups. A big problem would then be that C-rated players would often have to play B and A-rated players in the leagues. You can see this happening now in the Themed Event or the From Maurya to Alaric type sections where you only have 16 or 20 players registered. The more players that you get in a section the easier it is for me to put most players in a division where they can play opponents of a similar standard.

If you have most of the armies in a section, but not all of them, then you can still enter OK, provided you tell your opponent's who have armies from a DLC you do not have, that they will need to issue the challenge for that match.

The recruitment period is just about over now and I think we have done quite well in the end to reach 56 players and we only have 3 vacancies left in Classical Antiquity. I am sure we will fill them in the first couple of weeks of the tournament at the very latest. In Classical Antiquity I will put 10 players in the A division and 9 in each of the other divisions so there is only one vacancy in any division. I think most of the A-rated players have returned again so we are more likely to get B, C or D-rated players turning up a few days late.

I will start working on the formation of divisions now as I will be out for most of tomorrow. Hopefully I will get them all posted up this evening.

The draw for the groups for the Themed Event will be done on Friday morning and I will post the group stage fixtures over the weekend. From this season onwards players can play the group stage matches in any order and they will all need to be completed by the end of 31st October.

Pete,

Please can you add me as a reserve. I participated in this last season, but don't have Age of Belisarius. I'm happy to play with the constraint that my opponents have to issue challenges. Thanks.

I have made a couple of changes as Sennacherib and devoncop have registered to play in this section today. Sennacherib will play in Division A instead of Aryaman. Aryaman and devoncop will play in Division B filling the one vacancy and replacing Trogilus who will now play in Division C. I hope that hasn't upset anyone. Please complain if it has.

I have actually offered my place to Paul already. I am just waiting to hear if he wants to take it up. I would really like to avoid playing if I can help it as I find running the league quite enough for me now.

There is an enforced change here. youngr has withdrawn from this section. Morbio will now play in Division B and edb1815 will move into Division C.

youngr has withdrawn from Late Antiquity and will be replaced by Morbio. youngr will continue in both Classical Antiquity and Early Middle Ages although there may be some delay due to a very poor internet connection he is experiencing in his current remote job location. From 18th October onwards this problem will be resolved and he will be able to play his matches normally. I have exempted him from the first Time Control check for this season.
