Kerait - Venetian 1440-1500 - defeats Lunecastle - English (Lancastrian) 1455-1460 43-15

The Venetians refused to engage the English who occupied a rough highland and so began to march forward and away from the enemy. This prompted the English to descend from their position and attack the Venetians mid-march. Although this awkward encounter resulted in the Venetians finding themselves engaged out of position, with important units initially far from the melee, it also meant that English longbowmen, the Welsh and Irish etc., all medium foot, were now having to fight in the open. In such circumstances, Venetian heavy foot and cavalry enjoyed a decisive advantage, although Italian casualties were by no means minor.

Rafydedel (Granadine 1232-1319) defeats Afromullet (Danish 1155 with German Imperial allies) 41-4

The Granadine light and heavy cavalry managed their way on the left flank of the Danish infantry line while the crossbowmen shamelessly stayed behind most of the battle on a nice patch of rough terrain. The Danish knights were surprised apparently by the Granadine camels, probably because Camels are hard to come by in Denmark.

Morat Frankish 496-599 w Visigoth allies beat SawyerK Germanic Foot Tribes 260-599 AD with Roman 47-15

Battlefield constrained by woods and an awkward marsh. Germans lined up between woods and marsh with their horse on the right. Brutal fight in the centre: warbands/legions smashing lumps out of each other. The decisive action took place on the left flank. Frankish horse managed to get the upper hand and then start to turn the flanks of the infantry fight. In the end this was just enough.

The German spearmen, organized into a double line, resisted and eventually pushed back a massive knightly cavalry charge on my right flank. Meanwhile, the missile troops supported by medium infantry battled it out on a steep hill covered in rough terrain and small clusters of trees. Well played, general!
