Seeing as Uk18 seems to be a bit of a boring scenario after the initial landings (you just walk up to Edinburgh fighting a unit every 3rd turn), I'll be shrinking it considerably for v1.4. However, I remember some requests for a USA 1919 scenario when I was developing the mod in its early stages. I think that I'll add that to the campaign.

Also, a list of new scenarios:
 Ostaufmarsch - After the Germans take Brest-Litowsk, what's stopping them from going all the way to Moscow?
 Suvla - Part 2 of the Gallipoli Campaign. The start of the Ottoman part of the mod.
 Kut - A major British defeat in Mesopotamia, 1915-6
 Sinai - Final Ottoman push for the Suez Canal, 1916
 Gaza - Hold out in Palestine against a renewed British attack, early 1917
 Beersheba - Gaza, all over again. This time the Entente want Jerusalem as well.
 Transcaucasia - Exploit Russian weakness in the Caucasus, 1918
 Aleppo - Where the Ottomans were broken forever, 1918
 Nile Delta - hypothetical scenario where the Ottomans capture Suez, and now aim for Cairo
 Western Desert - Finish off Egypt and restore Islamic rule!
 Tobruk - The Brits are finished with - now for Italy.
 Tripoli - Liberate the final piece of the old empire from the colonial grasp of Italy.
 USA - When conquering London isn't enough to win the Great War.

Also, Could someone make a Junkers J.I icon so that we have a proper 'tactical bomber for the mod?

Further new scenarios:

 Poland 14: The battle of Lodz, 1914
 Courland: Minor offensive into modern-day Lithuania, early 1915
 African Raids: Play as General von Lettow-Vorbeck and cause great trouble to many thousand colonial troops, 1916

Also, the Bf 109 in a Red Baron camo will appear in the USA scenario as a very powerful aircraft that should have no trouble with anything weaker than a Sopwith Camel, and even SPAD 13s will have trouble defeating it. However, it will cost a LOT, so the Fokker D.VIII may still be a preferred option.

I have a problem with the British Invasion - I can't get any landing craft. Neither at the beginning (deploy only on land), and also not later on - the buttons are greyed out. Any idea what could be up with that?

That would be due to the conversion to the new unit set, which is set up as another country (same flag however). The transports clearly haven't gone to the 'new' Germany yet. I'll have to add this in v1.4

Congratulations on getting to England however.

I hope to release 1.4 tomorrow. The new scenarios (Ostaufmarsch, Poland 14, Courland, Africa and the Ottoman ones) won't be included in that patch, however most of the other fixes will. Following that, I will be working on a Grand Strategy WWI map where you focus on every aspect of the German war machine (including economics and diplomacy!)

Fixes:

- Max Immelmann will be added as an ace in Race to the Sea
- Poland 15 will get a new air deploy hex.
- Marne now the DV result from Schlieffen Plan (THAT should've happened in v1.0, but I made a mistake in some message)
- Paris 14 now DV result from Marne
- Race to the Sea now MV result from Schlieffen
- Additional airbases will be added in most East Front scenarios (Poland, Brusilov, Romania, ?Estonia?)
- Many more rail transports added in most scenarios, especially Serbia
- UK18 sea transports will be fixed
- :!: INFANTRY DEFENSE IN FORTIFICATION (trench) HEXES WILL BE INCREASED CONSIDERABLY - this is mostly for the Grand Strategy map, but will do well in the main campaign as well

v1.4 is up!

See change list in previous post for details. Also note that trenches etc. are now considered close hexes, making entrenched infantry very hard to get rid of.

Work has been underway for the Grand Strategy map. Apart from 1914, are there any other start points you want to see?

Screens will be uploaded soon

Actually it seems the whole forum is dead, from my part I was on vacations so my "nerd" activity was down.
Beautiful map by the way :D

I've noticed that. It seems that only 7 or 8 posts are made a day (the scenario section AND the main forum put together!)

Also, glad you like the map, as that is going to be the main battleground for this mod in the coming months.

Well, until today - new life has come!

Anyone who has played one of the newer Paradox titles will understand this map:
Europe_nations.JPG
Europe_nations.JPG (53.64 KiB) Viewed 5907 times
(Basically in EUIV and HoI3, as the country's borders change, their names appear and stretch to show the territory owned. I have used mostly Powerpoint [1997!] and Paint to make this map of turn 1)

When the scenario is released, I might make a few of these if you submit save games for me to use.

Wow, I am still wondering how are you going to implement that great idea. New tilesets?

With a great pile of tags and some new "Markers". The in game ones won't be quite as good as my Photoshop-version, but should have the same effect.

As far as I know, you don't have to subscribe to MediaFire. I think you just download stuff off of it by clicking the link and then pressing 'Download'. Before I made an account last December, I never had to when downloading other mods.

What has become God Save the Queen was originally the German anthem during the time this mod is set in. Because of this, I thought it would be appropriate to change the menu music whenever the mod is enabled, to make it feel more like 'a new game' rather than a simple overwrite of files. However, the sound file only takes up 1.8mb, whereas the mod itself is about 30, so I don't understand it saying that just that file is the download. It should be saying that you are downloading a zip file.

Also, It will be helpful if you could upload a screenshot of this 'Permission Denied' message. I'm guessing that is one of those 'admin required' boxes that comes up on Windows 7 (I generally use Windows XP, so I'm not very familiar with these boxes).

Sorry to hear you're having problems,

Hey, hows the Grand Campaign going? I am gonna be honest and say i am not that fan of big maps that encompass all the war period, so i am eager for other news regarding the Ottoman path for the normal campaign or the Grand Campaign project :)
