Bit of confusion there, causing cohesion tests in friendly units doesn't cause morale drops in enemy units. The elephant routing may cause your own units to lose cohesion or even rout but I don't think it will affect enemy units unless they are charged by the elephants while they are routing.

Yes, your routing elephants will cause cohesion tests (and possibly morale drops) only in your units. Routing enemy elephants will cause cohesion tests only in enemy units.

What I meant is that with a bit of luck you can cause multiple morale drops in enemy army by routing enemy elephants.
