Dark Ages theme : It seems that the Byzantin armies were very strong in this theme especially if using the knights and Varangian. In the games I saw the varangian guard was often the key to the Byzantine victories.
The armies size ranged from 11 BG to 14 BG (Arab Conquest from Richard).

Quite right, I think I will be having nightmares about heavily armoured elite drilled foot! So thanks for that guys!! Personally I had 4 good competitive + enjoyable games, all of which reached a conclusion and you can't ask for more that that. I definitely hope to be back next year
