I think Rob is hoping to come. Mark also said he was hoping to come earlier but I haven't heard from him recently.

Scotland still slightly ahead as in all things Paul. If you cut David M he will bleed pure Lorne sausage. Having said that we are glad to have you Morris dancers on board.

Re: Schiltron 2016, 11-13th March 2016, Stirling
SD Productions is truly amazed at the quality of the field for this year's Schiltron.
Knowledgeable, Experienced, Intellectual, Skilled ....... any one of these might have made it a passable group but sadly it was not to be. On a serious note SDP has taken delivery of the new, improved PREDICTOMETER 2 and will be putting it through its paces soon although it is hard to see past a podium collage of Taylor, Munro and Cutner at this stage - especially with the Baytown Buccaneer playing for fun this year. Who's your Spartacus then!
As a first errand for the PDM mark 2, SDP will be running the Predict-an-army Logarithm soon - so watch this space for an uncannily accurate pre official tournament announcement of your 2016 runners.

Now that is Generous George. I though the website said ALs were required 2 weeks before the basho - that'd be this Fruday, the 26th. 6 more days would be the 29th. I take it there will be an unspecified but quite awful penalty for anyone who abuses this astounding act of Generosity George?
HH
Sits back with a smug big grin and folded arms, confident that his list is in.

Re: Schiltron 2016, 11-13th March 2016, Stirling
Steady, I say steady Messr. Ney. I wish to completely dissociate myself with any comments impuning, intending to impune, likely to impune or having the effect of impuning Generous George. You have to remember that all the war-gaming goodness that is Schiltron emanates from the good auspices of our heroic organiser. And also ........ that he may be the umpire ..........
Re: Schiltron 2016, 11-13th March 2016, Stirling
all I would add is if George is umpire that
a. reading the rule book beforehand would help.....
if he isn't umpire but is playing I would suggest that
b reading the rule book beforehand would help.....
just a handy tip based on previous experience
good numbers again this year which is positive and as usual am looking forward to my trip into the northern wastelands....

Re: Schiltron 2016, 11-13th March 2016, Stirling
Someone is on the edge of getting a YELLOW CARD!!!
Your Ref,
Your Umpire,
Your Lord of War
Your Master and Commander has spoken....
PS. I wont be umpiring... I hope the 3 Amigos below will do it for me
If I do play
The umpires will be Malcolm(England), Hugh (Scotland), Mark T(Scotland) If any of these 3 generous players are playing each other, then the 3rd person will umpire.
We have gone for a 2v1 option, based on the Westminster design on the voting style for National Govements in the UK.

Can you remind all that they are expected to have looked at the rule book before asking for a ruling. Far to often the umpire is asked because players have a vague notion about what should be but don't take the time to check for themselves. Very guilty myself of this.

Well I'm afraid I have only played 4 games since Britcon and those 4 were all at Bayfog so I will be rusty on the rules front.

but its a friendly tournament with little or no importance for the ranking of FOG players at the national level.
