Re: Gary's Workshop
How do you make it so that rivers go through cities?

						Re: Gary's Workshop
If there`s some automatic procedure for the generation of the tiles I`d like to know too. In practice I just place the relevant river graphic piece on the city hex and do this manually for all cities.

						Re: Gary's Workshop
When making maps always create rivers first. The next step is to place cities.

Re: Gary's Workshop
I've done a little fixing up of unit movement. All engineering units, heavy weapons and units which have equipment to work with now have movement of 1. All other infantry units now have a movement of 2.
I also created a couple more units, though I'm not sure I will use them in my mod since I may not have an African campaign.

Most definitely. Anyone can use anything they want in this thread.BiteNibbleChomp wrote:Can I use the Askaris in WWI?GaryChildress wrote:I've done a little fixing up of unit movement. EDIT: I made one small adjustment to the Askari infantry above. I took off the rifle scope. I doubt Colonial Infantry would have much in the way of exotic equipment.

Here a couple "quickies" to create a little difference between the German and British warships.

Re: Gary's Workshop
Is it possible to do a mini-Italian campaign in Ethiopia in 1935 which later turns into a standard German campaign? Is it possible to start out with a core of Italian units which gets removed when the German Campaign starts in Poland and then reappears in the Balkan campaign several scenarios later? Is there a way to accomplish this that anyone can think of or does the core have to be the same country the whole way through?
thanks!

While I'm waiting for an answer to my question above, here are a couple more "quickies". I think I will be doing an Ethiopian Scenario to begin my Grand Campaign.

Re: Gary's Workshop
These are a couple trucks I'm using for my Spanish Civil War scenario. They are adaptations of PHCAS's Polski Fiat. So all the real credit goes to PHCAS for making it possible to do my mod and find or else create all the necessary equipment I need for it. Thank you PHCAS!! Without your work my mod would be in terrible shape.

Nice Polish cavalry units.
I've just given my dismounted cavalry long AT rifles, yours will do nicely for standard cavalry units to replace the standard ones.

Re: Gary's Workshop
You can have an Ethiopian campaign to start.
You can eliminate a core from being purchase by not having the country available in the map.
To eliminate the core, there is a button that says clear reserves. When that is checked, the next may will have zero core units, hence removal of Italian units.
Unfortunately, you can not have them recalled latter in the Baltic. However, you can once again clear the reserves and then place Italian core units on the map to start.
Using this method works, but the player can not use role play and build up their core because you keep deleting it.

Re: Gary's Workshop
Thanks captainjack and Razz!
I did some messing around with PaintShopPro and Dwight's Camo utility and came up with a couple more units. One is an Hs 123 based upon a Cr. 42. The other is a new Gloster Gladiator based on one someone did here on the forums. I can't remember who the original author was but I think it may have been PHCAS or guille1434 but if anyone knows please let me know so I can give appropriate credit for the original. Basically mine is a little bit of cutting and pasting of the original to suit my tastes a bit more.

Re: Gary's Workshop
I think your HS123 will see some action on the French-German border later today.
Do you have an early German fighter (something other than BF109) to keep it company?

I have a Bf 108 which was used a little bit until they got the Bf 109 into mass production. You want me to upload that? Otherwise, there is a growing collection of WWI planes!captainjack wrote:I think your HS123 will see some action on the French-German border later today.

Has anyone done an He 51 or maybe an Ar 68? I would love to have them for a Spanish Civil War Scenario.

Re: Gary's Workshop
I'm working in late 1930s so the BF108 would be the best option, even though a Fokker Dreidekker would look nice.

Re: Gary's Workshop
How about an He-51? Here's a modification of the Hs-123 to look like an He-51. The He-51 first flew in 1933 and was introduced into service in 1935.

Re: Gary's Workshop
Thanks for the quick response.
It looks good to me. I'll have a session tweaking stats for a BF109B and C to keep it company in the air, along with a Panzer 3C for the ground troops (there were so few A and B I will lump them in with the C).
Creating an army of leftovers for use behind the front lines is proving to be an interesting exercise.
