By the way... what is the meaning of "Panzer General (TBD)"? Is this a new, separate campaign title?

Thanks a million!

Thanks for this!nikivdd wrote: It comes with a tweaked gamerules file to let your units gain quickly their first star and first hero.
Thanks for the feedbackbebro wrote:Played a couple of the Brits in Africa scns. Difficulty General, 1.20 rules.
Very entertaining, caused a nice bit of AG nostalgia. Got my behind handed to me in scn 2 - no way to stop the axis. Didn't try another playthrough for lack of time tho...Fortunately the campaign didn't end there, so for the other scns incl. Mareth Line I made victories easily mostly. Prestige was ok - tight at the start, which is of course expected, later enough.
Just noticed the AI seemed to be very keen on spamming units in some scns, esp. 8rad recon which it got ca. half a dozen during that scn #2 or Italian L33 tankettes at the end of Mareth Line.
Having not played AC so far I needed a while to adapt to the allies, and had to find out the hard way that some units don't stand a chance vs. axis equipment (early SP "portee" AT for example), while others seem the best choice almost every time (Churchills). Overall a nice, albeit short experience, didn't notice any wrong things or "bugs"
The number of scenarios is the exact number of scenarios as it was in the original Allied General. The original maps are converted to Panzer Corps and then i tweak the units (not their experience) and prestige settings. The number of core units is exactly the same as it was in the original. This version does come with a bit of flavor, with a few new Panzer Corps units and SE units. Perhaps i might throw in a couple of capturables for Allied General in Europe. I haven't checked yet how many scenarios there were in Allied General: The Allies in Europe.timek28 wrote:Hey Nikki great little campaign for US troops!
I really liked the 2 scenarios. Overall I like the phase where I struggle to build good core from the scratch. Later on 5 stars are not that funAlso I like how there are not too many units on the map. Somehow managing smaller cores can be much more fun then micromanaging gazillion units. Also I must say Kasserine pass felt like movie 300 a bit
The only thing I disliked is the shortness of campaign. Although historically wise there where not many battles in Tunisia anyways. One last question though. How many scenarios are you planning for Allied General Allies in Europe? I hope there will be at least 10 scenarios for this last part of the campaign

For some reason I find this shorter type of campaigns more appealing. Also the amount of units is very nice.
For some reason I find nurturing a gigantic core much less appealing and tiresome. I mostly forget how many units I have in that case, which heroes I have, and even I forget when I loose core units. My ideal core is up to 20, 25 units at max. AC demonstrates optimal number of units in pretty good fashion. Auxiliaries are not a problem.
That is why I put LoV on pause (although it is a great mod). I play this instead as I can complete scenarios in about an hour which is optimal, while first few LoV scenarios took me about 4 hours per scenario which is time I cannot afford easily.
The path for this one (on XP anyway) is:b52pilot1 wrote:I am new to downloading custom campaigns. I have downloaded the Soviet .rar file....now what do I do with it? Sorry for the newbie question!
You're welcome, Niki, and thanks for all your great mods.nikivdd wrote:Thanks for your help Richard
