Hi Julian,

You can get a copy of the translation here if you are interested to compare it:

http://www.yorku.ca/inpar/muntaner_goodenough.pdf

(If it doesn't work - sometimes - email me and I'll send it to you if you want)

There's also this translation, but I can't work out if it's from Catalan to Spanish
or English!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Catalan-Expedit ... 1855661314

Regards,
Peter

Thanks but I can read Catalan. The problem is I don't own a copy of the Chronicle and my local library is on its summer timetable (ie. you're stuffed if you work) so until then I'll have to live with what's available online.

The Amazon book is a translation from Spanish to English.

Julian

Spain is like Italy then :)

Book on my Amazon buy list in that case. I've looked at second-hand copies of the Goodenough, but prices are steep, about E150.

BTW, I looked at the meeting in Jaen, but alas RyanAir only fly Tuesday and Thursday from Milano, not very convenient!

I'll be driving through Valencia on Friday 21st on my way to Jaen so I can pick you up on the way and drop you off on the way back on Monday. There is a flight departing Bergamo at 11.40 and arriving at 13.35. Return flight on Monday at 14.05 arriving at 15.55. All for 125 euros.

One thing though, on Friday I'll be making a little detour via the HQ castle of the Calatrava Military Order (just so I can say I did something cultural apart from tasting the local wine) so it will be a bit of a road trip. Return trip will be more direct but equally picturesque.

I can also lend you an army if you don't want to risk yours on the plane. Let me know.

Julian

Hi Julian,

Really sorry for not getting back to you earlier and your very kind offer! Unfortunately,
just when you sent your message (I didn't see it until after Gent) I got called up to the
Italian team for Gent as emergency cover for Paolo Paglianti, then a day after my return
I went down with a terrible cold (just back online today, blame the Irish!).

Anyway, Gent has blown my budget for wargaming for a while, so Jaen is out. Pity, as
I've been to the area before and it's nice. The sierras and Granada and Cordoba of
course.

Thanks once again and profuse apologies for my delayed response which must have
seemed a little rude.

Best regards,
Peter
