This is just a thought experiment, because my previous understanding would have been that you loose any and all half dice. In other words, the LBs get 4 dice and the Bows get only 4 dice as well. Even if they had the same type of weapon, they would still only get 4 dice each.

Suggest you re-read the last paragraph on page 93 and the first paragraph on page 94.

Since bow are normally at the same or worse POA than LB you would have 4 LB dice and 5 Bow dice.

There is no such thing as a half dice in FoG.

There are dice that you get when 2 or 3 bases are shooting and if there is only one shooting base but you need two shooting bases to get a dice then you don't get a dice.

When there are several bases each of which provide 1 dice per 2 bases then they join together to provide a dice but at the lower POA.

I do know that you don't get half dice, but it was easier to explain with the 0.5 instead of talking about the "1 die per 2 bases".
