Center: Despite the almost complete route of the Galatians center, the Seleucids loose the battle. They just could not contend with the Galatians deploying heavily to their flanks.

Looks to be a great scenario; I have emailed you for the files. Are you working on any others?
Nice AAR, by the way.

New Stuff

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I have completed similiar scenario's for the following:

Asculum 279 BC
Mount Eryx 277 BC
Lylibaeum 276 BC

All of these are from the Pyrrhic War. The battle reports probably will not be posted until after Christmas vacation though. Thanks

Just Wondering

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I was just wondering.

In many of the new scenarios players have spotted issues in them such as Elephants with Swords, and Heavy Foot listed as medium foot, etc, etc..

Has anyone you has played my scenario found any problems like this? If so then please post them so I can fix the issues. Thanks

Everything seemed to ok me (played both sides)
I was doing a little searching for more details on this battle and couldnt find too much except this interesting snippet from Hans Debruck (author) where apparently Antiochus Soter wrote after the battle :
"I am ashamed that we are indebted for our salvation to these sixteen animals."

Appears the succesors of Alexander felt they should have faired better vs mere barbarians!
