Thanks, Gavin, for an excellent game. Your Ikki monks were fearsome and their numbers told in the end as my troops kept getting outflanked. A most enjoyable defeat.

Disobeying his lords advice, Rennyo the 8th of the Jōdo Shinshū Hongan-ji commanded his Ikko Ikki to seize a hill surrounded by steep sides on his right. In a race to the crest, his force was intercepted before they could reinforce the top, and cut to pieces by a strong force from the Asakura clan led by Asakura (Snugglebunnies) Yoshikage himself.

You may issue challenges immediately after the result is posted snuggles (ie: now) You may also direct me as a retainer to attack nominated provinces.
At the moment I'm locked in combat with Hojo Ujiyasu for his Home Province. (though I fear he's playing very coy, despite the imminent threat to his camp!)

Current standings by province count

1 Snugglebunnies (Asakura Yoshikage) (3+2)
2 PeterThePainter (Tokugawa Ieyasu) (4)

3= smjohnso77 (Uesugi Kenshin) (3)
3= Ahuyton (Hojo Ujiyasu) (3)
3= Kiwiwarlord (Oda Nobunaga) (3)
3= Lascar (Akai Naomasa) (3)

4= Doyley50 (Takeda Shingen) (2)

5 GDod (Rennyo the 8th Monshu/head priest) (0)

So I'm not too clear on the rules, but would I be clear to attack Kiwi in Otomi then?

So I have 2 weeks to uplift the challenge Gavin ?

After a very long drawn out game the Result has finally been sorted.
Oda Nobunaga's 11,569 Warriors fought until nightfall and held Otomi Province against Asakura Yoshikage's 10,144 Invaders.
Game finished March 3rd

So, I'm late to the game after a year hiatus from playing SJ. Are the Ikko Ikki playable? Is there still a space left for another player? Thanks.

You are welcome to join Alex. you may choose between the Imagawa clan or the Toyotomi clan.

Imagawa Ujizane
After his defeat in the 1569 Siege of Kakegawa, Imagawa Ujizane allied himself with Ieyasu in return for help in recovering his territory in Suruga Province.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Hideyoshi rose from a peasant background as a retainer of the prominent lord Oda Nobunaga to become one of the most powerful men in Japan and is regarded as the second "Great Unifier" of Japan.

  • See page three for rules, players and background as to the situation in 1570.

It is correct that a province can only be attacked if it is adjacent to one that you control? In other words, no sea borne invasion allowed.
