Kroche (Carthaginian 262-236BC) 8% loss defeated desertedfox 48% loss (Kyrenean Greek 321-276 BC w/Libyan 549-301 BC allies)
Points
Kroche 100
desertedfox 8
Carthaginian left/centre was well placed to thwart a Greek advance there, but Carthaginian right looked short of numbers as the Greek pike and hoplites swung towards it. The Carthaginians won on the left and units could then come to the aid of the outnumbered right to seal the victory.
A Greek veteran hoplite and pike unit threatened to split the Carthaginian force in two, but despite their huge stats advantage they could not beat the two mercenary hoplites rushed in from of them.
This was a theme throughout the match where the Carthaginians won virtually all the melees no matter the odds. Frustrating for the Greeks as they had manoeuvred into a great position and just needed 1 or 2 reasonable dice rolls out of about 20 to change the outcome.

klayeckles(carthage +samnite) 13% 89pts defeats Zawzgrzyt (West) Spanish (Sertorius)42% losses 13 pts
greater numbers weren't enough...as carthage was able to make some holes before spain could get any real flanking going.

oscarius (Persian) beat batesmostel (Seleucid) 63 - 58
65 points
A long nail-biter of a game. Both armies raced to reposition on the high ground as the bulk of our infantry caught up. I focused my very huge firepower on his pikes. I didn't score any disrupts but the early heavy casualties they sustained weakened them for the rest of the fight and allowed my foot to hold them off on the hills. Still they proved tenacious and refused to disrupt even after losing and falling back after several bloody assaults. Things were dicey into even the final turns as his non-pike foot were beginning to concentrate on me but a couple of timely autobreaks got me over the line. A fine game.

Div A, Pod A
Morat (Spartan) 44% losses, beat Challenge1 (Carthaginian) 60% losses. Points: Morat - 76 Challenge1 - 44.
Lots of manoeuvring before the decisive fights. Carthaginian cavalry caused general havoc on the Spartan left: but the battle in the centre and on the right were just enough to see the Spartans over the line.
Thanks to Challenge1 for a great battle.
