I do seem to recall there were some French allies visiting in both the 17th and 18th Centuries - but it didn't work out any better than the Spanish in the 17th or the Germans in the 20th !

Game 1 Period 3
Furor Gallico loss 49 Hell on wheels loss 61
At the beginning of the day , arabs couldn't see all the navareese army.A big hill overhung the middle of the battlefield. Arabs took place on it , the irregular navareese waited them , in a big forest on the left and hills on the right.
In front of the forest ; a big force of light troops scared the arabs and stopped their advance , once again the dailami wanted to fight and decided to attack troops in the forest in a maybe too optimistic charge. They saw that they were under number too late , they were taking by flanks , and despite of that , managed to continue fighting during more than ten turns. The second part of the navareese army , formed by unmounted horse lancers , launched his attack and tried to outflank arab army , they were repulsed , arabs were too numerous on this side , dailami , knew then they can die , their sacrifice gave the victory to furor gallico.
Thanks for a great game , result could have been for the other side

Furor gallico 67% beat Hell on wheels 42%
Carthaginian army was arrayed on a long hill next her base side with a full spectrum of troup types.
Spartan orders was simple, "advance and destroy".
Long opening mouvements find spartans trying to outflanck on the left side but Hannibal promptly move his veterans and some cav to close the gap. So Spartans reorganize to attack punic center under the threat of a punic flanking move ont the spartan right side. At the first clash Hannibal itself was murdered by a roman legionnary causing some troubles in other punic units. Fights was hard for both side but Spartans heavys was too powerfull for their opponents and their army break after a long and glorious resistance.
Thank to Deeter for a friendly and fun game.

Aetius39 (Romans I) defeats Bodhran (Romans II) 64-38
Hell on Wheels loss - 38
Furor Gallico loss - 64
The Roman I army marched down towards the enemy, while they sent their cavalry around on both sides to try and envelope us. It took some time to get into position, and first the lights hit, then regular units went into melee. The Roman I army did well on it's left, and for the most part stopped the enemy cavalry from enveloping and attacking multiple rear flanks. Yet they got through to the left side, and broke that down. Luckily their right fell faster, and their cavalry was largely negated from helping while the Roman I legions ganged up on the remaining heavy units. GG with a lot of casualties on both sides, and ended with only a few turns left. Well-played by my opponent!
I noticed the other scores, so congrats to Furor Gallico on going to the Final.
Also, congrats to my teammates on getting this far, and hopefully a little bit farther!^^
