I am going by the announcement page which shows me as entered, but the page showing scores doesn't show me anywhere.

As seen on page 1 of this thread: "The action begins Monday 26th October 2020 at 10.00 am GMT and anyone who has Field of Glory II can enter. You do not need to own any DLCs to enter.

But where does it show you as entered?

As I said before, the tournament is fully automated, so there isn't a tournament organiser like there would be in a manually run tournament.

I have enquired with the PBEM IT department to see if anything can be done, but they reply: "We dare not touch the database once the tournament has started, this is too dangerous as we can break everything for everyone."

However, we need to try to establish what went wrong so we can avoid it happening again in future.

Okay. When the event was first announced, I entered and the window conformed this. Later, checking on it, it said I had already entered. Beyond that I have had nothing else. If I slipped through the cracks, so be it. Too bad though as Carthage is a specialty. Thanks for looking into this though.

It is nice to see the record number of 260 entries to this competition. Unfortunately though there are currently 32 games that have not started and a number more that seem to be stalled after one or two moves. This means that more than a third of the entrants will not be playing a game in round 1. I understand it is very difficult to stop new players entering and then deciding not to play but the problem could be improved by banning players that do not play from entering future tournaments.

Yes - I've started my game, but my opponent hasn't payed or responded. Is there a problem with some peoples set up?

I think if your opponent never shows up, you get the BYE score. At least this is how I understand the wording on page 1.

You shouldn't be able to, but I would not recommend attempting to do so in case something gets messed up. They will be removed automatically when the round ends, and you will get 150 points for the round if your opponent timed out having not played at least 12 turns.

My opponent played 1 1/2 games quite speedily, but now nothing for a week; suppose he has dropped.

Probably going to get the BYE score for 2nd game; 10-15 pts less than a win, though.

FYI - I did not receive any email notification that Round 2 began this morning.
Within FOG2 multiplayer, I did correctly receive both mirror match game turns; one for me and one for my opponent.
Does this mean that I will not receive email notifications when it is my turn to play throughout this round?

Yes, we are aware of this. FOG2 will be moving to PBEM3 after the end of this tournament, and all such issues should be fixed then. Prioritising workload means that it is unlikely to be fixed for PBEM2.

Understood. Then should we expect that no notifications will be sent for the remaining rounds 3, 4, and 5 as well? If so, please consider posting a forum message when each round starts as another reminder to players. Thank you.

1st tournament I have participated in. I completed a game in round 1 and won decisively, didnt receive updates for 2nd game and it looked like the 2nd game finished without any moves from me. The 2nd round started however I dont have an opponent. Q - is the server issue impacting 2nd round game setup or was I removed from the tourney?

This looks like you were disqualified after not showing up for one of the games in round I. But this may be the result of a misunderstanding.

I was playing with carpenkm for 6 turns then when i sent him my 6th move the return was to the finished games?? I sent him an e-mail to see why he stoped the game early. Was this a mistake of the server? I don't know whats going on here. Okie
