But yes, you could put together a tanker convoy like in WWII that you have to escort to safe waters and protect from enemy attack, and if you lose too many tankers, you lose the mission. Zack...idea...

Heck I like your tankers buildings etc ) They bring realism as scenery and help the player to immerse in the atmosphere where he is ) I hope you shared your work with the local mod building masters.

If I can ask... may I borrow some of those assets in the future?
I have other projects in my mind before, but I'm very interested in doing a naval campaign one day (even more with Akkula's future 2.15 update), and having tankers and various naval facilities would open so much possibilities... :o
But we'll certainly see you Kuril's campaign first anyway :D

No problem... What do you need?

In preparation are one or two container ships, a transport ship and two oil tankers, I think that should be enough for a merchant fleet. I still need to do some finishing work on the buildings, and I'll add something there too.

Oh no, don't create anything for me!
I just intend to reuse your assets if possible, I ask nothing more than your authorisation
But... an anti-piracy mission in the Horn of Africa could be an excellent introduction to a worldwide naval campaign; so if you have the motivation to create an icon that represent one of those small boat used there... I could not say no to it

I really need to learn how to make icons. I have gathered all the documentation to learn, but have not found the time to really try it...

Anyway, I see that your future campaign/maps are really on good tracks! :D

Yes, you can use anything. I can also provide you with a few pictures now if you like. Do you have a picture for me so I know what kind of boat you mean?

Oh, thanks a lot !

I thought about something like this :

Image

Imagine the scenario: a large map of the Gulf of Aden, two players frigates with two helicopters (with a script allowing them to land on the frigates on some places), many cargos that have to enter or exit the Gulf, pirates spawning regularly on the coast...
I'm sure we can do something epic with small pirates boats

Of course, of course.
And don't feel forced if you change your mind, it's already very nice to let me use your assets when they will be released :)

I can try to make it even smaller but then it can happen that the details become blurred, I'm not a professional.

I was able to reduce the size of the boats a little without major losses.
Here is the second boat. Let me know if it fits or if I should change something.

Are three boats enough?
I would be interested to know what values you give these pirate boats in the equipment file. If you could let me know, I would be grateful.

Woah, I didn't expected it for today! Thanks a lot, that was fast and really well made!

About the values, I hadn't thought about it yet... I'm not used to create units and expected to experiment myself with the equipement file.
In the scenarios I imagined, they were supposed to be very weak, unable to remove more than one HP (One HP if they are lucky, after all they have RPG onboard, that could still cause damages  ) to any real military frigates, but still able to destroy a cargo in 2 or 3 attacks (and it's more to represent that it was boarded and captured than really destroyed...).
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to balance it yet... I'd need to try.

Let's improvize something, it will be to balance better later :
- movement : 7
- spotting : 1
- range : 0
- initiative : 2
- SA : 0
- HA : 0
- AA : 0
- NA : 4
- ground defense : 2
- air defense : 2
- close defense : 2

I have no idea if it will be as intented, but that's a base

I especially like the first one: one pirate really looks like he is holding the rudder

Yes, you could make a lot out of it.
The pirate boats should not have too low defence values, they are not easy to capture, fast and manoeuvrable. They have a good range and reserve petrol in tanks on board. It's not for nothing that they are so successful, even if they look primitive.

They're amazing... I can only say that both Imeror and Tobi72's work is top-notch.
Your scripts and the development of your campaign stories are highly imaginative.

One thing missing is the expansion of the unit store tree, like in the MOD PAK, so you can purchase naval units, structures, etc., so you can put them into the scenario if you lose one in combat.

Hi,
Thank you very much.
Now in my campaigns the units and buildings or structures are available, I can make them purchasable but that may not make much sense. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether to add them to the mod, I advise against it, because they will be gone again with the next update. :!:
