In the USSR, this hero was beloved, and football clubs were named after him, and children were even given his name.

Something that should go right into the mod library

Just a small criticism: we go from roman numerals for the first part to arabic numerals on the second, but that's a detail.

By the way, that's another detail but...

Image

Toby, do you want that I write another texts here for a future update ?
It's weird to read texts about artillery, APC and MBT in a roman-themed mod

I know, I know, I haven't gotten around to changing everything yet, because if I start, I'll have to write everything in the respective languages, and I haven't had time for that so far. What would you like to write? Thanks for the screenshot; now I see that I overlooked adjusting the timings of the catapults and archers, etc. Because of the individual scenarios and the introductory campaign, I had to add them several times.

Hi Niko, great job, I really like it. Where exactly can I insert this overview in the campaign of the "The Wrath of Carthage" mod so that it's displayed (in which folder or directory)? Thanks a lot!

Well, the Spartans, Macedonians, and Greeks in general will play a role in the Roman campaign in the section "Macedonian Wars and Greece (214–133 BC)"; furthermore, additional campaigns or scenarios could certainly be created with the unit and faction pool, but I'm not there yet.

I am not sure how it works, i never fiddled with the library folder. Perhaps the GC flowcharts were added in the library files. Then it would be rather to reproduce for SPQR.

About the units being available multiple time, it also happen for infantry and both cavalry categories.

About the kind of text that could replace the MC one, i have wrote an example right now for the infantry tab :

"Infantry forms the backbone of most armies in the Mediterranean basin, such as the famous Roman legionaries or the phalanxes of the Greek city-states.

In March of the Eagles, these foot soldiers can be grouped into different categories, each bringing its own unique role to the battlefield. Equipped with swords, light infantry can swiftly charge the enemy to exploit a weak point; while heavy infantry, generally well-protected in chainmail or breastplates, is capable of holding its ground against enemy attacks or breaking through a line.
Some units prefer to use spears instead of swords. While this weapon is simple to use and might allow a poorly motivated peasant to keep a cavalryman at bay, it proves just as deadly against other infantry as a sword in the hands of a skilled warrior.

In the ancient world, horses were a rare commodity, often reserved for the aristocracy or wealthy horsemen. Foot soldiers could only rely on their sandals to move from one battle to the next, but a general could often order his troops to adopt a march formation to increase the pace.
"

I wrote this text with the idea that you will implement the idea of march formation in a future update, since you seemed motivated to implement it

I mixed some historical infos with gameplay elements, to give hints to the player that don't know the era or what unit he should choose.

Sure, that sounds good, I'll gladly accept your help. Are you writing it in all four languages? English, French, German, and Russian?

Deal !
I will need the AI (or simply any translate software) for German and Russian ; but yes, I can do it in all 4 versions.
If I'm not wrong, I just need to change lines B5 to B9 on the strings.pzdat file, located in the data folder.

Only 5 texts to do, I could do it very quickly. However, allow me to finish to test my 492 AUC campaign first

When I see all these factions to come, I tell to myself that I am not going to create campaigns only about the first Punic war.
I keep a fictive Epirus conquest of the Mediterranean sea in my future plans

By the way, if anyone want to play more March of the Eagles content, my campaign about the siege of Agrigentum is ready on my topic :D

And of course, the Greeks are included. With the next update, players will gain access to four new factions and over 100 new units, buildings, and structures. As mentioned previously, however, the next update will not include a campaign.

Hopefully, this will encourage players to create their own scenarios (and post them here, of course  )

Furthermore, unlike more recent historical periods where scenarios often have to involve high mobility or a wide front to represent mechanized warfare , it's easy to create a relatively simple battle scenario where two groups of around twenty or thirty units clash on a flat field.
This type of scenario is neither very long nor very complicated to create, while remaining consistent with the theme of ancient warfare.

If anyone wants to try the scenario editor, it is the right time

Sparta and Athens (I can clearly see the owl) will be in the next update, then?

That opens up some possibilities...
I talk a lot about Polybius, but I also like Thucydides...

Yes, Sparta, Macedonia, Greece, and Syracuse. Under Greece, I'm grouping together several polis (Thebes, Athens, Corinth, Rhodes, etc.) because I can't create each city-state as a faction; I'm running out of free slots.
