Update:As promised, I have reduced the number of units in some missions. In Khost, Caravan, The Fortress, Orgun and Roads of Death. The Strela, Islamic special infantry and other enemy reinforcements have been reduced. But I couldn't test it so I hope that everything went well.

If the reduction is not sufficient, I can make other changes.

Tobi72 wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:29 am However, it should be noted that this campaign differs from those of previous conflicts and wars. There are no fixed fronts and no armored advances into the depths of the hinterland. The enemies do not come at you head-on and in an orderly fashion.
But I am already in the process of reducing the number of enemies, I will update the link today. Players probably feel the same way with my campaigns as I did with the China campaign where I was overrun by the enemy in mission 4 at the end. :D No problem.
I dont think you dont need to have them prepawned but perhaps use the rugged terrain where the player wont go to spawn the enemy and its a small amount of hexes away so it isnt that the enemy spawns on you, you could also use the camo trait on some insurgent units.

Id also suggest giving the Engineers and perhaps the SF (GRU/KGB) meng instead of close in the equiptment file and the Engineers also get minesweeper instead of minekiller.

Id also suggest giving an option to purchase a fighter unit earlier so you can build it up a little bit before having to use it to combat other fighters

Yes, that was the intention. In 3 Hoot and Operation Storm, I neglected to label some of the city tiles, e.g. with Kabul (Mea Culpa).I will pay more attention to this in future and not work so sloppily.
Well I was more referencing to that I expect a city tile to have the stats of a city and not open terrain so tanks would be vulnerable and inf more effective. I trampled a lot of units with my helicopter even though they are "in an urban/close" environment

Mmmmh, I'm still thinking about this for the future. Even if tanks are at risk in a city or urban area, I like to have them with me in battle. Maybe I should build the cities and streets again like in my campaign “Pandora”, I think that was a good approach, here you can fight with infantry and tanks in the city.

Originally I only wanted to record one mission in which jet fighters play a role, then it became two. Here, the focus was practically only on the short-term protection of the helicopters. My thoughts.

Well.that would work well as it is a Stalingrad esque scenario from the GC, have clear hexes w roads and parts of the urban area as a city hex, you can also always bring armour into an urban area with artillery protecting it

Toby teach me how to play this mission ! I am waiting for your replay very much I want to see how you will defend all the important points, kill all the enemy artillery and regain the early lost positions, when all your army will be kicking a pipsqueak in the warehouses, and at this moment in place of one destroyed enemy unit of spirits will grow three more ) My replay and screenshots attached - but I'm probably not such a cool Jedi as you )

They need tanks as breakwaters and Grads because of the range. SU-25 available, mine was very good.

You also only have to hold four victory squares until the end. (not all) If you have not translated the victory conditions correctly.

But in your replay it looks to me as if you're playing with the old version and not the slimmed-down one. I downloaded the new version so that I wouldn't miss any bugs and played it. However, I do not see these changes that I have made in your case.

I watched your replay and realised Sensei Tobi's tactics and the key to this mission ) Maybe the changes didn't take effect as I started from my old save pass ) So I'm now cool too and moving on )

My lower kill rate can be explained by the fact that I leave enemies that are unimportant to me alive, for example.

Why don't you ever edit your posts that it's a lust to rack up more posts or like climbing on the podium every word and sentence is like a ruble gifted ? ) Also why don't you upload your replays directly to this forum, since all the features and options are available? I will watch your replay if I have difficulties ))))

Lately I am no longer hunting spirits, but more dodging that the mass special forces of mujahideen and black storks do not trample my units with their horde ))))

Okay, I'm not actually allowed to make this public. But I get paid by Slitherine for each of my additional contributions. But let's keep this between us, ok?

I'll be busy with other things outside of Panzercorps in the near future. I will have to postpone the Kurils a bit. If I have time, I'll continue working on Yamato`40 in between, but I'll read along here and add my Mustard from time to time.

The world already knew one guy who could have been a good artist but liked to speak from the podium ))))) As I understand the road of rage was the last map of the Soviet-Afghan war, which as I got the impression ended rather unspectacularly and leaves a kind of ambiguity well or the author just got tired of stamping infantry enemy regiments which died 514 units in my opinion so much I had enemies dying when passing the third world war from Akkula on a giant map of Europe )))) Nevertheless thank you very much Toby san you were the first to bring up this topic about our already forgotten war the last Soviet war ..... I am waiting for Korea again and endless hordes already from Akkula in the continuation of the campaign for Communist China )

Well, I removed exactly the units that were supposed to counterattack or were generally intended for attacks, so this mission is pretty easy to win.
Since I wasn't sure if I was working on a sequel, the ending may have gotten a little foggy.
