It is the one that you showed on the IS-2 tank quite late )

So, on April 20, 1945, the directive of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command, number 11073, was adopted.

"The Soviet troops (infantry, tanks, aviation) designate themselves with a series of red missiles. In addition to the missiles, Soviet tanks are marked with a single white stripe around the tower in its middle and a white cross on the roof of the tower."
The marking was adopted jointly with the Command of the Allied forces.

Source: https://salik.biz/articles/59940-zachem ... olosy.html

https://voenhronika.ru/publ/vtoraja_mir ... 2-1-0-7542

Here is the directive of the Supreme High Command Headquarters No. 11073 of 20.4.45. :
"In view of the possible meeting of the Soviet troops with the Anglo-American troops in the near future, by agreement with the Command of the Allied Forces, the following signs and signals have been established for the identification of the Soviet and Anglo-American troops:

1. Soviet troops (infantry, tanks, aircraft) designate themselves with a series of red missiles. In addition to the missiles, Soviet tanks are marked with a single white stripe around the tower in the middle and a white cross on the roof of the tower. The stripe and cross should be 25 centimeters wide. These identification marks should not be installed on all tanks, but only on the lead tanks, which are most likely to be the first to meet with British or American troops.

2. Anglo-American troops (infantry, tanks, aircraft) designate themselves with a series of green missiles. In addition to the missiles, Anglo-American tanks and armored vehicles are marked with yellow or cherry-red florescent (at night) shields and a white five-pointed star surrounded by white circles on the horizontal surface of the tanks.

3. Soviet and Anglo-American aircraft, in addition to the signals set for them by missiles, are designated by their national identification mark.

I. STALIN
ANTONOV»
And here is a photo of the tanks that participated in the Berlin operation, there are no white stripes as you can see!

Hi strubbel80,

I know the problems with Bagration now. It is launched too early we can say now and needs a big update. I will check Bagration before the next update. We took this scenario from Ajs81 who made it and put it in the mod without looking at it. This was because I needed all my time for the Kursk scenario. Ajs81 is doing a lot for the MOD at this moment and we thank him for that. We learn from this that we have to overlook the scenarios together before launching them.

I work together with Ajs81 on the Overlord scenario now.

So, forget about the Bagration scenario until the next update, it will be upgraded than.

Uzbek is right. "The white line around the turret ,on the sides of SPGs as well as a white cross on top of vehicle is air id for battle of Berlin . For the Berlin assault, tanks were marked with a white band around the turret/superstructure, and usually with a cross on the roof, to identify them to any prowling USAF or RAF aircraft. These were painted at the last minute by hand. In the early stages of the assault on Berlin, the Soviets learned the hard way that Allied aircraft couldn't always tell the difference between Soviet vehicles and German ones". So painting these markings on the vehicles made them stand out more. While it might not seem it, the fact is that when flying quite fast in a ground strike run, a Soviet IS tank could be mistaken for a Tiger, or Tiger II at just a glance. While the ISU assault guns looked vaguely like Jagdpanthers.

If you're trying to be funny, maybe it's time to stop trying.

Please consider how you would feel if someone mocked Soviet troops who fought and died for their country.

Since when did Vietnam become the American homeland ? ) okay, we are all good people, but we all have our own attitude to history, let's not at least here in our favorite game not to make cranberries !

I'm not trying to be funny, more fair ) I was just assured here that the capitalists love their people, they organize whole operations to save the soldiers of the Rhine ! It's not good sometimes to read the truth that I understand ) But you're right enough ! Only the game only the mod and no more politics I hope the same stories that Stalin ate babies for breakfast will not be, tired of listening to lies in one Soviet gate in politics there are no saints !

Because i am so very fond of the Overlord operation i have some questions: dont be angry :-)

Canadians: Is the Canadian Paras removed in the latest version of the mod? I was going to use them for the Orne Bridgehead (1st Canadian Parachute Battalion)
The Ram II: "As built, the Ram was never used in combat as a tank, but was used for crew training in Great Britain up to mid 1944. The only Rams used "Ram tanks with the Wasp II flamethrower gear were used by the 5th Canadian Armoured Brigade in the Netherlands in 1945."

Free Polish: In your great Mod the Poles have the Sherman I but "M4A4 Sherman V medium tank (The M4 Sherman was the basic tank in Polish armoured units in the West 1943-1947. The 1st Armoured Division, fighting from Falaise (France) to Wilhelmshaven (Germany) used M4A4 Sherman V and M4A4 Sherman VC Firefly and from December 1944 - M4A1(76)W Sherman IIA.)

Free French: In the the mod using M4A1 tank but: "With a strength of 16,000 men, the 2nd French Armourd Division (2e Division Blindée) was completely reequipped by the United States with some 250 M4A2 Sherman and 63 M3A3 Stuart tanks"

The battle of the Kursk Bulge is in full swing for me ) Still there is not enough garrison in cities like Voronezh )

I myself clean up the partisans in my rear and repel the Soviet tank counterattacks ) It's very interesting to play there is a lot of adrenaline )
