Div C
Morat (Franks/Viking) beat ulysisgrunt (Normans 923-1040 with French allies 888-1049) 41-10
War of the successors saw the earlier Frankish forces hold on the left with a low hill and rough ground. On the right they stacked their best foot and horse. The Franks used their lights to disrupt as many of the numerous Norman heavy cavalry as they could - and in being charged to disperse them, while some lights were caught in the open and swiftly dispatched, the disruption to the Norman horse allowed the Franks to start to find some flanks. In the end the cavalry battle was decisive, and the Frankish foot did just enough to hold up their Norman foes to allow the cavalry to get round the flank.
Thanks to ulysisgrunt for the game - hard fought as ever.
And this is (I think) my last Dark Age battle this season - thanks very much to my opponents and the organisers for all the fun!

I wanted to ask if they will publish rankings in this period

Div A
Questar17 Burgundian 1471-1477 AD feat English (Continental) 1475 AD allies beats Karvon Venetian 1440-1500 AD 61:44
Burgundians are trying to save their proud. In the very chaotic game keeping a hill allowed to me shoot a plenty of cavalry. After it started a massacre in the heights with a some fortunate for me at the end of the battle
thank you for the game

Re: Initial TDC Rankings
Of course these rankings are based on up to and including the 28th August
Take note of some players figures for TDC 2. DesertedFox has accumulated a huge total at the mo
If Janohito and Hari72 had entered 3 or more periods, I wonder if they would have scored 3 x or more than present score. If so they would have most certainly jumped up into Division B, quite possibly Division A. Mr Cholo, probably likewise, to division A.
Another newcomer AngusOsborn has done extremely well.
2 veterans, Deeter and Ulysisgrunt have also had a very good season. As well as TMAC

Division C
SawyerK leading the Lysimachids
finished in a draw
against mcfcivo and his Chinese Han army
at 54 to 44 as time expired.
The heavy units of the Lysimachids led the attack, but the cavalry units massed on both wings by the Han led to a slow developing but vicious battle. Time expired before either force could gain a decisive advantage.
It was an excellent match and my compliments to mcfcivo.

Re: Present TDC Rankings
They aren't important as at present, we use overall/total ranking points to allocate players to divisions. It was decided amongst us. I am for allocating players based on period rankings, into the relevant decision. Using me as an example, I tend to struggle in some Medieval periods.anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 9:12 pmCan we see the rankings for period?ericdoman1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 8:32 pm Hi All
