A very interesting story in which one of those vehicles participated, quoting Wikipedia:
The freedom tank
In 1950 the former mechanic Václav Uhlík from Líně in the Czech Republic found the wreck of an RR-7 artillery tractor. He repaired and rebuilt the machine as an armoured carrier. On 25 July 1953, with seven passengers in the vehicle, he got through three border zones including wire obstacles, and penetrated thirty kilometres into West German territory. There he applied for asylum and emigrated to the United States, where the machine was exhibited as the "freedom tank" (Czech: tank svobody). Today it is owned by a private collector.

Thank you, Guille! Truly not an elegant unit.
But what really interests me is the earlier light artillery tractor version for the Austrian army. I'm curious if I can make an organic transport that can be switched depending on the current terrain and ground conditions. Now that I have an icon, there's no reason for procrastination.

Well that was disappointing. The idea, not the icon.cw58 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:48 pm Thank you, Guille! Truly not an elegant unit.![]()

I enabled purchasing of land transports because I have several construction units (i.e. bunker builders) that I wanted in a class apart from structures. So I can purchase the RR-7 as a land transport and it will switch normally. But if I buy it as organic transport for a small pak gun, it will not switch. The idea was to mount the gun onto transport by pressing 'M' and then be able to switch the transport as mentioned in my last post. But it just...... won't...... switch.

But not all is lost. I will still use the icon as a scout car in Africa. I kind of like the idea of switchable movement modes. So thank you again.

Hello Cw58... Too bad organic transport units can´t switch. It would have been an interesting addition to give organic transports such ability. But, you can always make a triple switch unit (a kind of motorized AT gun unit)... AT Gun --> Tracked transport --> Wheeled transport, not exactly the same, but...

Hello Guille,
Thank you very much ! This is exactly what I was looking for. The icon is perfect : there are the Normandy 44 stripes and I'm working on a Normandy scenario.

Maths: I´m happy you find that icon useful. In case you need some more, here in this posting, you can see an improved version of the Waco CG-4 glider, and also a Horsa glider (which was a bigger glider with more cargo capacity) in American colors. The US forces received some 400 Airspeed Horsa gliders in a reverse lend-lease plan. Greetings!

Thank you very much ! The Horsa looks even better. The outlines of the Waco were a bit blurry and I tried to fix that myself but the result was awful ^^guille1434 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 1:29 pm Maths: I´m happy you find that icon useful. Same things with the stripes : exactly what I needed !

Uzbek:
Yes, from time to time I upload a link with a big compressed file including all the new and updated icon collection. Regrettably, as there is no much interest in more icons, it has passed a ling time since my last update... But I will make a new one upload soon.
Meanwhile, here are two icons for the Tatra 111 truck in Wehrmacht colors.
Greetings!

Nice icons, Guille. Just in time for me to add a shiny, new Tatra to my roster.
