Caucasus
Axis troops moved away from the western passage.
And we began to move to the border of the eastern passage.
We also transfer troops to the Poti area.
And transfer river gunboats to the Black Sea and further to the Danube.
But they are very slow.
Loss analysis
Will be on the next turn, before the start of D-Day.

Turn 71. D-Day-1

Weather: Rain and Mud
Strategic map
Norway
Our Commando unit was discovered by the enemy and was forced to withdraw.
Obviously, now the Axis will increase vigilance against diversants and Tirpitz will not be approached.

France
The one turn before D-Day.
Although officially (according to the calendar) D-day will come in two turns.
But we will start the operation in the next turn.
It seems we will be able to clean the strait of Pas de Calais from an enemy submarine.
Therefore, the transfer of the fleet's bypassing England was unnecessary.
But this will delay our ships and may have to move the landing for a couple of turns.
In general, aviation is concentrated on the airfields.
But not enough airfields to replenish the aircraft.
In general, the destroyers were able to eliminate the threat from enemy submarines.
Only the threat of Kriegsmarine capital ships remains, but the enemy is unlikely to risk from send to the open sea.
And confined to passive defense under anti-aircraft units off the coast.
The Command also concentrated a large number of arty at the Pas de Calais to attack the enemy coast.
Germany
A group of aircraft took off for the bombing of Germany.
In order to reduce enemy prestige at the time of disembarkation.
Caucasus
Again, enemy aircraft appeared.
But our troops continue to move to the border.
The goal is to check script scenario restrictions.

North
Close the enemy. He is on the verge of defeat.
The infantry was entrenched in the outskirts of Leningrad.
It was decided to send the pontoon engineers to the central front. But they are very slow.
Centre
Our troops crossed the Neman and in some places reached the border of 1941.
One of our T-34s encountered an 88mm anti-aircraft unit in AT mode. Apparently he will not live to see the next turn.
Brest is free.
Operation Bagration can be considered complete.
South
Bad weather, muddy.
Our troops are moving slowly.
We blocked the crossing on the river Bug.
Lutsk was blocked from all sides, and if enemy forces remained there they fell into a trap.
We captured Chernivtsi.
In the south, the enemy seems to have decided to retreat.
'Invincible' Gocha 145 was surrounded in the air. This is probably the only way to get rid of it.
In the air, aviation restores strength after heavy fighting.

Extended Loss analysis
Loss Ratio:
For comparison:
Previous Loss analysis data (t=65)
Previous Extended Loss analysis data (t=50)
Loss statistics are compared with this pair game.
---
The Soviets continued the attack on the Axis and despite the defeat in Africa, all the loss ratio indicators changed only slightly or improved.
Compare the losses per Axis in this game and this one.
The ratio of losses in tanks and fighters decreases in favor of Intenso.
By fleet unchanged.
And in the infantry was replaced by the opposite. Now McGuba is losing more infantry.
Apparently affects the offensive of the Red Army.
In bombers, the ratio decreased slightly in favor of McGuba.
But still Intenso lost almost 2 times less bombers per Axis than McGuba.
Compare the losses per Allies in this game and this one.
The ratio of the losses of the Allies among themselves in both games either has not changed significantly or more smoothed to 1 to 1.
This means that the loss of Intenso does not outgrow the loss of McGuba for the Allies. Except fleet.
General analysis.
It is interesting that, in terms of the loss ratio of bombers, Intenso is better and in terms of the loss ratio of fighters, McGuba is better.
With the exception of aircraft and fleet, in the case of infantry and tanks (and, in general, fighters too) the statistics tend to converge in one figure in both games.

France
The first wave of landing on the shore In the area of Omaha-Utah beach.
Enemy submarines and bottom mines blocked the approach to shore.
Also, coastal artillery blocks the approach of our destroyers and transport ships.
Our fleet has not had time to come yet and we have limited artillery support from the sea.
In the west of France in the port the position of heavy Axis capital ships well covered by anti-aircraft guns is revealed.
Very good position!
In the Paris area, the Axis concentrated its aircraft. But she has no chance at all.
France - South
We are continuing the operation to transfer aviation from Africa to France.
Iraq
Probing.

Centre
Block Memel.
Obviously, the enemy will move to the other bank of the Vistula in the next turn.
Our units do not approach to enemy tanks for direct combat.
South
1 Tank Army goes into a deep breakthrough.
This tactic was not invented by Guderian, but earlier in the Soviet Theory of Deep Offensive Operations.
Therefore, at the beginning of 41 years, the Soviets had about 20 thousand tanks
Light tanks entered the territory of Hungary.
South - Air
We shoot down a enemy fighter who does not have much experience.

Weather: Clear and Dry
Strategic map
Strategic map - Air
Enemy aviation leaves France.
France
Expanded bridgehead in Omaha-Utah beach.
Sherman is trying to neutrolise coastal artillery.
It is obvious that the Axis does not seek to keep the coastline at all costs.
Aviation conducts air strikes on Axis units.
Three Axis capital ships have been identified off the west coast of France.

Simultaneously with the landing we are conducting air raids on Germany.

Soviet troops captured one of the cities, but Churchill was unhappy.
At an infantry unit, the strength decreased by 4 points.
Therefore, turned back.

North
We continue the destruction of the enemy.
Some units have already begun to move to the central front.
Centre
We concentrate forces, but the enemy does not retreat.
In the area of Brest, a ferry began to cut off the Panther from both sides and at the same time destroyed the enemy units.
Tanks go to Krakow.
If we control this point, we will be able to threaten with a flank strike to the whole AG Center, even if they are retreat to the other side of the Vistula!
Thus, the STAVKA wants to avoid large losses in frontal crossing over the Vistula.
Which were at Vistula-Oder operation.
South
In the North, destroyed two trains with infantry.
Obviously, the Axis did not expect such rapid advance.
In the center, light tanks with a strike from the rear destroy the enemy's arty unit.
In the south, our troops are reaching Romanian oil. She is in 1 turn from our units.

Tirpitz is still under the cover of Axis aviation.

Our tanks approached Budapest and other cities at maximum distances. But now they have no fuel.
The capital of Romania is taken, oil is captured.
The Axis loses 50 prestige per turn.
Enemy aviation destroys our fighter who escorted the bomber. But the bomber survived and was able to return to base.
Our fighters strike retaliation and Lilya Litvyak on the Yak-1B shoot down the Fokker. This is the fourth fighter in her account.
She is assisted by Ivan Kozhedub on La-5F.
For comparison, the most experienced Luftwaffe fighter with 3 heroes shot down 4 Allied fighters.
And it seems the most productive Axis fighter was Finnish with 2 heroes shot down 6 fighters.
We are concentrating a few fighters in the south in order to use them in the next turn, If the enemy decides to continue the air fight.

Attacks on Tirpitz lose their meaning.
Nevertheless, we carry them out, it distracts the Axis.
Although obviously the Axis will no longer spend resources here.
We shot down He-111.
France
In general, landing threats are neutralized.
Except one Kriegsmarine ship.
Axis defense easily destroyed. Started the landing of the main forces. Caen is captured.
The enemy is again trying to block the English channel.
Apparently Axis fears landing in Holland or Germany itself. But so far we have no such plans.
Funny, but we don’t have a free tactical bomber to strike a submarine.
In the area of Paris, there is a cluster of enemy units. Obviously the next position of the enemy defense will be there.
Resistance block the railway with Italy.
