Re: WWI v1.1
I will be "rebuilding" Conquestor (where I stored stuff for Panzer Fury) after taking a whole heap of trash off it, and replacing it with stuff about this mod and War of the World v1.2.
So I was hoping that some of you would be able to supply some cool screenshots that you've got from it (I don't have time to play the whole campaign 5 times!). These can be uploaded onto the forum, or a PM can be sent to somewhere like mediafire.
If you're wondering why, I want to make Conquestor into a "product page" similar to that of the official Slitherine games (eg. http://www.slitherine.com/games/panzer_corps_ak) - only with mods! Otherwise, this is a bit pointless, but might get some more downloaders.

Announcement:
I hope to release GC '14 (otherwise known as WWI v1.2) around the middle of June. Gc 15 onwards will probably come 1-3 months apart from there - I will be trying to get the Path to Rearmament out by September, and I have started thinking about an 18th-century mod as well (I will create a new forum about the 18-cent. one when it is ready for a page - if you have any questions, PM me instead of filling this forum up with stuff about a different mod).

The briefings may be delayed even more, as Nostalgia hit me hard when I recovered my (working) game boy with Pokemon Red in it!
the child in me will now take over, but I may be back early..... I still can't stand that music that comes from Lavender Town
gave me nightmares as a kid lol.

(why this date? - Sarajevo assassination day - the thing that started the war, to go with the day that started the GC '14-'18)

Re: WWI v1.1
That was the plan... If you want it to happen I need East Prussia's briefing very soon. (Or I will push GC '14 behind the Path to Rearmament)LandMarine47 wrote:Then I assume GC 18 ends on Nov. 11?

Re: WWI v1.1
I'll be converting the units from v1.1 to v1.2 tomorrow, before resuming the production of GC'14 (which I have basically started again - need to rip out all of the units and re-deply them with new codes, so that GC14 and K'schlacht and run alongside each other, providing graphical updates when I get new icons in.)
Feel free to use this mod to create your own scenarios (wait for v1.2 for the new units), just make sure you upload them here. I couldn't be bothered renaming the countries in the editor, so to reduce confusion:
Germany - Germany, uses units/icons as in Kaiserschlacht
Republican Spain - Austria Hungary
"Red Team" - Tsarist Russia
Vichy France - Germany, as in GC'14 (v1.2 onwards only!)

Re: WWI v1.1
I also hope to make single-scenario play possible in v1.2 for the original 23 scenarios. Shouldn't need to much editing to the scenarios (they are all fairly simply coded, with little more than attack and defend set up - this is not a thing that the AI needs to be guided around (War of the World has to basically build metal fences to block the AI out from being silly))
- BNC (If you know how to set this up, please post it on another thread that I made half an hour ago)

Re: WWI v1.1
I made a few edits to v1.2 while moving units over:
- Prices edited in v1.1 will be the same as in GC '14, and v1.2 of the standard campaign
- Arras 18 is giving you ~10 auxillary artillery, to make your core's miserable life a bit easier (well, it wasn't miserable until you failed somewhere)
- New scenario descriptions (I didn't like the old ones much, but those didn't matter considering that there was no single-scn mode)

Re: WWI v1.1 - Update due June 28
I was also thinking about adding 1916 (Verdun) and 1918 (Michael) starts for the campaign - any thoughts?
Someone seriously post, or I will bring the stormtroopers back.

Hi BNC,
Your update date of 28 June is very appropriate - 100 years to the day since the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand (and my birthday too; though I'm not 100!).

The assassination day is why I chose it - I will update at approximately the right time (not just day) +100YRS (10am GMT)Richard1 wrote:Hi BNC,

Wouldn't it be funny if you were born on the day that started WWI! I reckon that would be pretty cool.
That start, as well as Arras 17, did cross my mind, but I decided that they were too close to other starts (1914 + '18)LandMarine47 wrote:How about a Poland Start for 1915?
Schlieffen -> approx. 3 scenarios to Poland
Arras 17 -> 2 scenarios to Michael
