NAFF 2011 (finals will start on Saturday November 12th)

Something just occurred to me.......

At some point, will there be someone sitting all of us non-Brits down and explaining to us exactly what 'naff' is?
Preferably with laser-pointers, flow-charts and other visual aids.

I can make an educated guess based on context, but on the other hand.......
This could be an elaborate ruse, part of a convoluted BBC reality-show, to see which one of us first figures out that 'naff' is actually a made-up word.

And before you say "Don't be preposterous!", just consider this:
These are Brits....The inventors of cricket......
I rest my case.

Take your pick from here, Lars. Basically, it means the same as "crap" i.e. useless, although there are other meanings to the word.

I have been really busy lately - and I've just been checking my PM box, not the NAFF thread - 'pologies. Now I can start checking both again.

So the Albanians go through to the final as their points aggregate was much worse than the Byzantines over the 4 games.

Paired games 500pts, DM and FOW on. I would really like it if we could get these games done by the middle of next week as I want to start the finals on Saturday November 12th. If anybody cannot play over the next few days please let me know so I can arrange a replacement. Thanks.

Sorry TGM - I am trying to get this qualifying section finished by the middle of next week so we can start the finals next weekend. I wasn't sure when you would be able to play again so that is why I left you out this time. Please sign in the NAFF recruitment thread for the finals though. Are you available for 3+ games?

TGM, you can pick up raizer's two challengers above, password "naffy". I have not heard from zumHeuriger so I guess he still must be very busy. So please go ahead and play - I cannot have games sitting about for 3-4 days now because the finals will start on Saturday 12th.
