Yeah and I had to re-enter the section again when people who signed up decided to quit after play beganstockwellpete wrote:I put Steve in Division B because that was where the vacancy arose.rexhurley wrote:Against the Panther all you can do is watch in awe as he races to yet another title my friend resistance is futile whether it be this, the old FOG or Pike and Shot the man is in a masterclass all of his own, as for being in Division B reallygiven his track record.....

I should also say that he graciously waived the opportunity to pick his own army and asked me to allocate one to him. So I nominated the Kingdom of Soissons as it was MikeC_81's choice before he withdrew from the section to make way for Steve.

Division C Round 1
MikeMUC (Romans (490-341BC)) defeats peterabb (Gallics (390-301BC)) by 60-52
A great battle where my Romans finally prevailed with a flanking move and then rolling up the Gallic line.
Could have easily gone the other way, I certainly thought so a couple of times.

I thought I had better get these Late Antiquity tables up before the first Sunday round-up because the winner of Division B might be decided before then.

Stockwellpete, Ive got issues with the new 1.3.9 patch...
...and I am unable to download the new patch. Until tech support is able to fix this, I'm dead in the water for this campaign. My handle is: AlexDetrojan Division E Classical Antiquity. Your call as to what to do. I apologize to all my fine opponents in Division E. It appears The Greeks ad portas...

Banter . . .
By all means chat away with your opponents in the threads after a match and offer congratulations etc. That is fine. But I will tidy the threads, particularly the results threads, after a couple of days by moving anything that isn't a result or a challenge to "The Dustbin". This is to make it easier for players to find the things they are looking for and to make it easier for me to record the results and check various things. So please do not be offended if one of your posts is eventually moved.

Division D
RagnarOneTooth Carthage beats Oscarius Galation 63 31
The Galatians drove onto Carthage whose light troops on the left were soon absorbed into the hordes that swallowed them up, the Spanish forces rushed to the rough land on the centre right while a strong force of Carthaginian cavalry hit behind a mountain to guard a pass on the far right. The Carthaginian forces in roman gab held for a while but the veteran african spear where true heroes holding and pushing back the hordes, giving the cavalry and elephants who with drew from the pass to reinforce leaving light cav and a few horse to hold the Galatian cav. The Galatian leader ended up breaking through several layers of spanish and imitation legions his with his unstoppable band intact only to find his horde had disintegrated behind him. a much closer fight than the chain rout at the end indicates.

Pete, your reference numbers at the start of the tables look somewhat odd.
