Taking care of the suggestions made by the players and given the fact that nobody has objected about the proposed change, the rules are now amended as follows, in the parts regarding independent and external attacks:

Independent & External Attacks
A player may also choose any independent or external province as a starting point of an attack against opponents that don’t border with his territory, using the specific army of that province (see the list of provinces and armies).
An independent attack costs 20 talents but it may raise:
- to 25 if the defender nation has a prestige level of 2,
- to 30 if the defender nation has a prestige level of 3,
- to 40 if the defender nation has a prestige level of 4.

Battles

In the case of an attack starting from an independent or an external province, the conquered province will become independent and the attacker will gain 1 prestige level while the defeated player will suffer, beyond the loss of the province, also that of 1 stability level and of 30 talents as a consequence of plunders.

Victory Points and winning conditions
Victory Points represent the results achieved by a nation at the end of the campaign.
They are counted summing:
- 1 pt. for for every victory in independent or external attack,
- 2 pts. for for every victory in land or amphibious attacks

The rules are in effect by this moment

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Hi I am currently fighting five battles at once, please don't give me any more until I can clear some of the backlog (also have to get my computer out of debug mode so I have to finish making my Agesilaus campaign first)

I encountered a problem in setting up the Aml battle in that the Etruscans are showing as an Immortal Fire army. Although I will have the latter post Xmas for now I'm limited to Rise of Rome. Haven't checked if Sammites are stil on RoR - if not I suppose there are the Bruttians and equivalent. Which one should I use?

At page 2 on the thread it is written:
"As you will note I’ve introduced in it two armies of the Immortal Fire expansion (Etruscan and Achaemenid) that will become available the 5th of december. Presuming that we are going to buy it the only problem is that we will have to wait 3 days before launching attacks from or against the independent provinces to which they are attached (if someone is not going to buy the DLC he will use atropatene instead of achaemenid and umbrian instead of etruscan)."

So let's go with the Umbrians!

Oops I started to read the rules to check but gave up and posted the question instead! Remiss of me as my Thesium rules will be just as long if I put them on the thread rather than use dropbox.

Thanks Umbrians it is then. Setting up challenge now pw Romulus.

It's not your fault mate, it's mine.
I should have specified the question directly in the general rules but I remembered the problem only afterwards.
I will accept the challenge as soon as possible!

The independent attack from Gedrosia to Carmania ended with the success of the rebls 62% to 41% and the once Seleucid province is now indeendent.

Rumours are spreading that the population is happily expecting the arrival of a friendly caravan of Mauryan pious men and followers of the Buddha ...

Ashoka the Great, Emperor of the Mauryans, beloved by Gods and Father of his populace, having heard the cry of sorrow coming from Gedrosia and Carmania, reassures the populations of these lands that a time will arrive when the teachings of the Buddha will be learned in their schools and temples, but there is a time for waiting and a time for hasten.

At the moment the caravan of the pious monks is heading from Paropamisadae to Gandhara where the Indian population of the site is expecting to be freed by false Gods and unjust rulers!

The warlord of the Carmanian people has moved his army against the Seleucid province of Drangiana feeling that this last bastion of hellenization in the east will fall like a ripe fruit in his basket!

His Divine Majesty, King Antiochos Epyphanes Megatheos Kalos reports that the Pontic army has been beaten in a battle in which the Pontic infantry proved no match for the manly Macedonian phalanx, while the combination of Xistophoroi and Elephants was too hard to endure for the Pontic noble cavalryman. Bythinia has been conquered

The pious monks probably stopped to a Buddhist temple in order to make their prayers and were a bit late for the celebrations.
But they're now arrived and are waiting their Indian mountain brothers to party togheter!
