Barely scraping through my first few wins (and more easily swallowing my losses, hehe) in Hillman, thought I'd share some screenshots...

Goodwood started early. Monty came at me hard. Twin M5's were followed by 4 Shermans, 4 Fireflies, 2 Cromwells, WOW!! Plenty of infantry in the open. My 88's, mortars and SS were brave, but against that kind of onslaught, they didn't last long... Blood, bodies and carnage everywhere resulted in a near stalemate with stragglers from both sides slinking towards flags...



Robin Hood of Sherman Forest brings his merry men to Tee mit der Burgermeister von Nuttingheim... PzIV's and enemy infantry were dispatched with ease... Sadly, defending 2x 88s and StuG at the river crossing were not... Gold stripes aplenty for the supreme defenders in the second half of this unhappy (for the attackers, ie. me, lol) turkey shoot... Maid Marion was not a happy lassie...

wow those are pretty impressive assault screenshots. I cringe at the mayhem that must have rapidly consumed many a dear life.

I have a few other completes but was lazy and hoped my opponents would post interesting updates, lol. Is there any rule about winner/loser is to post result?
I hope there is no specific rule lol. I'll go back and replay my last turn videos and see what happened. =)

I regret to inform the Prime Minister that, after losing half a tank squadron (2 Fireflies) to a frenzied defence by a solo PzIV (its commander believed to be a renowned Luftwaffe pilot and multiple Knights Cross holder who single-handedly bombed 3 tanks, 2 armoured cars and an engineer into oblivion in our failed assault on Ouistreham, now moonlighting as a tanker... Does this guy have a name Al???!!!), and a Cromwell and M5 which had foolishly wondered too close to forest, the Allied right flank was crushed to such an extent that tragedy could not be averted... Desperate measures were quickly enacted, but German cunning enabled them to take our regimental HQ... The field is lost...

Allies (JohnTindall) squeaked a win against Germans (morge4).

Managed to distract Al at the Watchtowers long enough to get a good size force over the River and capture back flag as well. It was then a matter of desperately holding on, which Al nearly scuppered multiple times. A close game and a good one - thanks, Al.

As I hear k9mike has withdrawn, this completes my Allied games.

Am close to finishing a game (me as Germans) with Leci and about to start another (me as Germans) against Morge4. Jcb989 and JonC, you'll find challenges waiting for you, password 'hillman'.

These four German games will complete my Hillman round, I believe. It'd be nice if I can do as well as the defenders as my respected opponents but it sounds as though things are getting very bloody!

Two very,very good games. I felt fortunate to be a participant in both and walk away with a victory in one.

I believe all if have left are two games with jcb989, one nearer to completion than the other seeing as how my Allied forces are in a full scale panicked retreat. I believe, if you listen closely, you can hear them screaming "Run away! Run away!" All 6 of them. Two games with leci, both proceeding. Two games with K9mike, neither of which have started.

German:Allied win ratio is now down to 3-to-1... Mostly due to the supreme efforts of Jcb and JT (both have earned 2 Allied wins)

Sad to report, I still haven't bagged an Allied win... Got darned close with JC... with a stack of 3 Fireflies, 3 Shermans, 2 mortars, 2 ATGs, infantry support partially inside the fortress, but then it all SNAFU... With 80% kill probabilities only resulting in (many) dead Fireflies all over the place, no German suppression, and German armour stopping for tea by infantry in bunkers whose double grenade attacks barely scratched the paintwork... Monty isn't going to be happy with this one...
