Warg1 - Arab (City) 300-633 AD with Sassanid Persian 591-628 AD allies (1600) defeats deeter - Germanic Foot Tribes 105 BC-259 AD with Gallic 300-101 BC allies (1600) 51 - 25
A gallant attack by my opponent in the face of superior numbers. The germans initially set themselves up in a defensive position taking advantage of hills and woods in the corner of the battlefield. The Arab mass hurtled toward the german mob but was caught off guard by the German cavalry attack on the flank. The Arabs were able to hold off the german cavalry for long enough for the Arabian archers to soften up the German centre camped on the hill. A couple of fortuitous Arabian cavalry charges managed to disrupt the well-placed warbands and a sequential rout saw the gaps open up in the German centre. With Arab reserves arriving to stabilize the deteriorating flank they still held sufficient numbers to burst through the centre and the brave german foot who had supported the cavalry were set upon from all sides.
Thanks for a compelling game deeter

Karvon - Tuareg 950-1500 AD defeated devoncop - Mongol (Ilkhanid) 1230-1353 AD with Tatar 1242-1339 AD allies 52-27 for a 4-0 victory.
A large farming complex lay in the center of our deployment area. Not far beyond that lay a rather large swathe of rough ground. A large grove and large farm sealed off our left flank. A smaller rough area and a large steep hill lay on the Mongol side on our far right.
We deployed a screen of foot between the grove and central farm. Most of our foot started out in the central farm fields. Our camels we massed behind our screen on the left. Our handful of light foot screened the foot in the central farm. Our plan was to advance aggressively on the left with our camels supporting our foot, while in the center our foot would sweep through the rough and hold the farm to protect our right flank.
The Mongols surprising deployed a couple of bowmen and a catapult in the far rough on their left. Quite a few light horse archers were flung out on their far right. A mix of heavy horse archers and lancers were deployed in the center. Their deployment didn't really change my plan, though his foot did give me a target for my own foot.
Our foot steadily advanced on the left and in the center, with a few units dropping back to screen off flanking attempts through the farming complex. The Mongol horse archers galloped up and began pelting our foot with arrows, slowly grinding down my lights, but not doing so much to my medium foot who promptly charged to drive them off, with the camels coming up behind. Naturally the Mongol lights quickly returned to play, but their cavalry being scattered took some time to reform and were less effective due to their getting dispersed. The second round of charges herded some in favorable directions and my camels got stuck into these with very satisfying results. My central foot swept through the rough and smashed the bow and catapult there, driving off horse archers who got in the way fairly easily for the most part. Our blocking force on the right were subjected to a heavy barrage of arrows, as we couldn't risk charging out of the fields to drive the enemy off without exposing our flanks, so we had a couple of units steadily shredded and finally breaking to keep these off the rest of our forces.
Our left destroyed or chased off the field the opposing cavalry and a couple of lights, but most of the latter flowed off to the left edge and then back around to harass our rear. These had used most of their arrows by this time so were more of a nuisance than a real threat. We wheeled our victorious left to the right and pursued broken and evading Mongols along the base of the steep hill and to the far right. One or two Mongol horse rallied on the right and we vigorously pursued them, and at the same time, attempted to keep one of our lone lancers who'd pursued off into the empty right from getting surrounded and shot to pieces by a few surviving Mongols.
Fortunately, we won that race and the Mongols called it a day.
