Re: Season 2 Tournament diary and news
schmolywar has withdrawn from the league this evening. Provisionally, he will be replaced by MikeC_81 in Late Antiquity Division A, by pantherboy in Enemies of Rome Division A, and ianiow in From Zhou to Chen Division A. I just need to confirm with these players that they still want to play in these sections.

Division C:
GDod Spanish [Sertorius] beat Ulysisgrunt (Romans 197-284AD) 52-24
in a late run by the Pseudo-Romans to clinch the match, along with a well deserved unclinching of other parts! Thanks for a great game Danny, a stolen last minute victory I think.

Division A
rexhurley (Qiang) beat Ludendorf (Chinese - Zhou) 51/63 in an intriguing game made difficult for both sides having their forces channelled by multiple marshes, a coastline and rough ground.
Thanks for a fun game Ludendorf you and the terrain certainly made me think

Re: Season 2 Tournament diary and news
To confirm now that MikeC_81 will replace schmolywar in Late Antiquity Division A, Mike will be using the Jewish Revolt army. Also confirmed is that pantherboy will be taking schmolywar's place in Enemies of Rome Division A. I hope to have the From Zhou to Chen replacement player confirmed during the course of the day.
Re: Season 2 Tournament diary and news
Thanks for the update Pete and for all your hard work in getting things to run with your usual efficiency. Good to know that my repeated efforts to get the username right of my challenged opponent is not in vain and I'll try and contain my disappointment at learning that pantherboy is headed for Enemies division A rather than B!
PS just noticed you were the only poster here - apologies if I've infringed your thread rights.

Re: Reserve list places are still available . . .
I have altered the way that I am going to deal with the reserve list from now on. You can see from the first post that I am now going to put players in a list on a "first come, first served" basis for each section of the tournament and then I will put in brackets the most appropriate divisions for each player (in terms of playing ability). In that way I hope to be able to allocate players to divisions a bit more accurately in future.

Re: Season 2 Tournament diary and news
bbogensc has now indicated that he is withdrawing from the tournament. This is very frustrating for everyone and I will do my best to arrange replacements as soon as possible. He had entered Classical Antiquity Division A, Late Antiquity Division B, Enemies of Rome Division B, From Zhou to Chen Division A and the Themed Event.
Perhaps I should just point out that players who drop out of the league at short notice will miss the next season completely and will only be considered again the season after that, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Any further repetition will see the player permanently excluded.

Division C
A rather weak at the knees Cunningcairn (Ptolemaic 166BC) barely defeats Ulysisgrunt (Jewish 167-111BC) by 47% to 60%. Man those Zealots are difficult to beat. Thanks for a great nail biting game.

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Division D
harveylh posts his first win ever in Digital League as his Ptolemaics (166-56BC) beats Kabill (Antigonids (320-301BC) by 46-21. The game was closer than the score indicates as the Ptolemaic pikes had good fortune against the Antigonid pikes. However Kabill will soon be posting a win against me in the Zhou to Chen division.
