Hi all,

Sorry to kept you waiting, but I've been waiting for 2-3 players to fill the last places. So far we got one new recruit, Wegeberg, joining the Allies. You are most welcome, Wegeberg!
Even before Wegeberg joined the tournament Jcb and I have agreed to start the tournament anyway. And to fill the Allies ranks I would play as Allied  (Actually, I wanted to try my new uniform Nava sent me for RTT  ) We will keep trying to find a sixth player for the German side.
But for now lets start this tournament. :D

The rules are simple: We play each battle just like any GJS battle, i.e. until 3 turns remains. But instead of noting the casualties, you note the flag VPs (5-5-3-3-1). The winner will be awarded 1 team point, but the flag VPs are individual to decide which player in each team be the best commander. You may play as many maps as you want to at the same time (there's no round1 we play only Bayeux etc.). All results are posted here and I will update the table.

My parter has helped me with the draw to decide who will play who on each map. She's absolutely neutral in this matter :)

Maps and players were drawn in these orders:
Map 1 -- Thaon
Map 2 -- Pegasus Bridge
Map 3 -- Abbaye d'Ardenne
Map 4 -- Hillman
Map 5 -- Bayeux
Map 6 -- Benouville

German players
1. Mlazar
2. Morge
3. LandMarine
4. Navaronegun
5. Honour
6. German6

Allied players
1. Guardsman
2. Cavehobbit
3. Protectivedaddy
4. Coreysr
5. Jcb
6. Wegeberg

This is who will play who:
Thaon
Mlazar vs Guardsman
Morge vs Cavehobbit
LandMarine vs Protectivedaddy
Navaronegun vs Coreysr
Honour vs Jcb
German6 vs Wegeberg

Pegasus Bridge
Mlazar vs Wegeberg
Morge vs Guardsman
LandMarine vs Cavehobbit
Navaronegun vs Protectivedaddy
Honour vs Coreysr
German6 vs Jcb

Abbaye d'Ardenne
Mlazar vs Jcb
Morge vs Wegeberg
LandMarine vs Guardsman
Navaronegun vs Cavehobbit
Honour vs Protectivedaddy
German6 vs Coreysr

Hillman
Mlazar vs Coreysr
Morge vs Jcb
LandMarine vs Wegeberg
Navaronegun vs Guardsman
Honour vs Cavehobbit
German6 vs Protectivedaddy

Bayeux
Mlazar vs Protectivedaddy
Morge vs Coreysr
LandMarine vs Jcb
Navaronegun vs Wegeberg
Honour vs Guardsman
German6 vs Cavehobbit

Benouville
Mlazar vs Cavehobbit
Morge vs Protectivedaddy
LandMarine vs Coreysr
Navaronegun vs Jcb
Honour vs Wegeberg
German6 vs Guardsman
There has been some minor changes to some of the scenarios. Some BGs got a few more units while other have lost one or two. Also, in some battles the deployment zones been altered. Hopefully the maps are enough balanced to give exciting battles, but as always the skill of the individual players is a big factor...
Note that Pegasus Bridge got a special rule (see below). Also to note about Pegasus is that this battle is a night battle, so LOS is halved for all units 8)

Thaon
An Allied force with survivors from a mix of BGs attack I/6/Lehr and 192/21. Lots of Allied tanks, but the landscape provide lots of places for German ambushes... 53 vs 35 AFD.

Pegasus Bridge (Night battle, LOS halved)
30/79 and 46/15 together with the survivors of 45/RM make a new attempt to wrest control of two key bridges from the Germans. The decimated but battle hardened 25/12SS this time have 914/352 by to its help. 64 vs 37 AFD.
For Pegasus there is a special rule: The Allies have two deployment zones. All units must deploy inside the deployment zone where they are at the start of the deployment phase.

Abbaye d'Ardenne
146/49 and 8/3 attack the battle hardened II/12/12SS. Both sides believes that holding this holy place will help them win the war, or is it just strategically important? 57 vs 30 AFD.

Hillman
II/22/21 and 901/Lehr attack deep into an Allied controlled sector. 214/43 and 130/43 rushes in to defend the sector. 50 vs 58 ME.

Bayeux
129/43 and 70/49 attack the so far successful defenders of Bayeux, II/744/711. 52 vs 32 AFD.

Bieville
I/12/12SS and 101sPzAbt attack the Allied left flank. 29/11 and 147/49 moves to meet the German Panzer elite. 58? vs 48? ME.

Is there some way we can get to know what kind of units our enemies have or will it be a surprise?

You can start up hot seat games if you like to know what your enemy got. Or you can look into the OOB and you will get a good picture of what units will fight in each battle.

Or find out the hard way…

Rushed in against honour and I have discovered the hard way - recommend starting a game against yourself or for fellow allies I have open matches available for a quick run through.

On first looks I'd say all maps could be won by either side......just watch out for those bloody 88's (except benouville - some bodies having a laugh at us allies  )

All my opponents,

Could I rely on you to post screenshots and updates for our battles? Just getting back from an exhausting trip across the Ocean, and I am trying to finish the last bits of RTT to kick it off earlier rather than later.

Thanks,

Nav
I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.
