The Scutari could not manage even 1 hit with their two dice but the General and his cav got hits with all 3 dice.Triarius wrote: So how did it end.
Well with only one combat left in my turn the score was kraken 85/82 and Triarius 64/65.
That one combat was, for me, a fragmented mercenary scutari unit, now in open ground, but directly adjacent to our inspired general attacking his Liby-Phoenician armoured cav C-in-C unit which had already been attacked from two other hex-sides was below 75% strength but still steady.
So what do you think - did it finish
UK 65/65 and Europe 85/82 - Draw![]()
or
UK 64/65 and Europe 85/82 - UK win?
A great game whatever - will tell you the result later
Bye bye Scutarii.
Final result
Triarius 65/65 vs thekraken 85/82.
A draw.
My apologies to the UK team for failing to complete the whitewash.

and the bad dice's and cry and cry again!!!!!
The true is that during all this game he got incredible dice and luck .The game should have finished close after the start but this guy was incredibly lucky!!
did you hear me!! no . and you know why ? because that's the game .
I'm really bored alway listenning this crying guy's about their bad dice's!!! I fell like in a school garden
you can estimate lucky for the draw so please accept this result like me...... with dignity!!!!
and stop constantly denigrate your opponent you should have lost man so shut up now.

Sorry for that post
but i really disagree with your point of wiew
Argueing about the dice and in a public space like this one is for me irreverent for the game your opponent have done.
Sorry for my poor english but i really don't like this kind of what i consider totaly displaced argument's
Again sorry if someone feel hurt by my talk but it's just because I felt hurt by this difamatory post
sincerly your's

What are you disagreeing with Herve? i see nothing from Triarius' post that implies he was defaming you, nor was he even boasting of gaining a draw. If anything he was 'denigrating" his last combat units rolls (a fragged scutari) which resulted in a draw intead of a victory for him, and he ended with a "great game " comment. I fear the language gap has caused you to misunderstand his post to a great degree. (so great that you are the one who is posting insulting things) Oh well, break out the dueling nerf swords and settle it that way with him.
Back to the more gentlemanly discussion of war and death:
Match 3 (Mixed): Later Carthage Deeter (27/58) v Mid-Republican Roman IanDavidSmith (57/52)
The Punies brought the usual mix of veteran spears and heavy impact foot, maxed out cavalry and plenty of mediums. At 650 points, they were compelled to bring Campanian allies too. The Romans brought a strong contingent of Pergamine lancers and Gallic cav to cover their right flank.
The battle was fought on nearly featureless plain with some steep hills on the Punic right. The Roman cavalry died there at the hands of scutarii. On the Punic left, a large indecisive cavalry battle raged while both side's heavy infantry engaged. In this, the African vets got the better of the hastati who couldn't use their superior swords against the orderly spearmen and started to collapse, while the normally useless Campanian allies turned the Roman left.
A well-fought battle that proves Punies rock! Just ask Mordio.
Deeter
P.S. Don't know why I'm getting an emoticon in the battle results. Should read 58.

Congrats Deeter, looks like a hard fought battle.
Now we just need Bates to take out Pantherboy and I wont need to worry about my game vs the wiley Pyromaniac Pikeman.
At this time the score is roughly equal, the map was a lot narrower and constricted than i had hoped but i am starting to get horse archers behind his lines. Attrition is stating to take its toll, several pikes autorouting from bowfire alone.(ok , just the poor quality ones) The bad news is I am running out of room to my rear and 2 cats decided to anarchy into pikes, doh. Hopefully they feel Ok because they represent 20% of my shock troops! I need to make things happen soon because the Phyric cavalry, who attempted to to outflank my left, decided to retreat( all it took was a facing change of a cat or two:)) and circle back around his rear. It will take them some time to get thru the woods but that will be a problem when they re-emerge...

This looks like this will go down to the wire... reputation and past performance would favour Pantherboy, but BatesMotel is a canny player and he has the pike advantage. TGM has the advantage in the open and at range, but he is running out of space! What will happen.... tune in tomorrow (or sometime in the future
) for more news....

It's because the emoticon icon for the cool (sunglasses) icon is an '8' followed immediately by a ')'.deeter wrote:P.S. Don't know why I'm getting an emoticon in the battle results. Should read 58.
This is the reason I write results with a space between the brackets and the numbers, e.g. ( 27/58 ), because whenever you put a closing bracket next to a number you might get a face!

Wells the cats are getting boxed in, and Claymore has gotten his cavalry thru the woods and into the center of the map, he has a pac that has taken 10 shots per turn , has never dropped cohesion and is still at 90% strength. This might become a problem. In the only other good news (for Claymore, grrr), a cat that had a 80-20% advantage in close combat w a depleted pike failed to cause a cohesion drop, same said stupid cat now breaks off perfectly into a position to get hit in the rear by his cavalry units. Also , the long drawn out combat is making my troops lazy and they appear to enjoy rolling low on the VMD's, "cant touch this" (meaning rear hits on his fleeing troopies) The score though is roughly equal so , stay tuned.
