Hmm... How is my maths? Still six battles but twice against every opponent. That looks better...

Escoville has ~2 turns remaining. trying to knock them out now. Allies just stole the 1-pt flag from our present nemesis, Alstuer Morgeplunkt

Great! Hopefully we could start the finale tournament this weekend. But I'm still waiting answers from a couple of people I've sent invitations to. If you know someone who should be invited tell me and I'll send an invite them.jcb989 wrote:Escoville has ~2 turns remaining. trying to knock them out now. Escoville is finished, JCB managed to take back to 1pt Flag on and I was not able to get it back. This was a very good game, tough for both sides.

I think it was a bit tougher for the Allies...so much ground to cover with so few units, so many ways I could have moved infantry in...vehicles was another story...very limited avenues inHonour79 wrote:Must have been a great fight in Escoville!
all in all JCB and I had a great time with this one

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 11th - Battles raging
These are the battles in the tournament:
Abbaye d'Ardenne
146/49 and 8/3 attack the battle hardened II/12/12SS. 52 vs 30 AFD.
Bayeux
129/43 and 70/49 attack the so far successful defenders of Bayeux, II/744/711. 50 vs 32 AFD.
Thaon
An Allied force with survivors from a mix of BGs attack I/6/Lehr and 192/21. 53 vs 35 AFD.
Benouville
I/12/12SS and 101sPzAbt unleashes both Tigers and Panthers. Will 29/11 and 147/49 be able to tame the big cats?. 48 vs 54 ME.
Hillman
II/22/21 and 901/Lehr attack deep into an Allied controlled sector. 214/43 and 130/43 rushes in to defend the sector. 51 vs 53 ME.
Pegasus Bridge
30/79 and 46/15 together with the survivors of 45/RM make a new attempt to wrest control of two key bridges from the Germans. The decimated but battle hardened 25/12SS this time have 914/352 by to its help. 61 vs 37 AFD.
For Pegasus there is a special rule: The Allies have two deployment zones. All units must deploy inside the deployment zone where they are at the start of the deployment phase.
Map showing locations of the battles and which BGs are involved. Not all units in the BGs will be used. This to hopefully have a better balance in the battles.

game on! I hope the Allies landed some extra tanks and were able to move them forward, lol.
any concern on the balance of attacker vs defender vs battle types and if it could impact the tourney?

I'll control the 1/12/SS and finish the Allies off once and for all! I assume Pdadday is going to try and avenge his humiliation at Caen

Map has been updated. I had forgot to include a Typhoon symbol for the Allies in Hillman.

There will be plenty of Allied tanks in some of the battles, like Thaon and Benouville...jcb989 wrote:game on! I hope the Allies landed some extra tanks and were able to move them forward, lol.

I'll take on whichever battle is available, hoping the balance of play is adjusted for these final hoo-rahs............and come now landmarine you still claiming that fluke as a decisive one...............time for another lesson in urban warfare then.
