Hi all,

I thought I'd give some info on the finale tournament. There will be six maps: Abbaye, Bayeux, Benouville, Hillman, Pegasus and Thaon. All battles and the units involved will be based on the situation at dawn June 16th. The number of units in each battle are more than in standard GJS battles. Attackers will have about 50 units and defenders 30-35 units. In ME battles both sides will have about 50 units. There will be no force pools to choose your units from, all battles will have fixed forces. But you will be able to deploy them as usual.
As in standard GJS games there are 5 flags with values 5-5-3-3-1 and to win you need more points than your opponent, i.e. not necessary more flags...
No battles have been playtested but set up using intuition, but we hope there will be some fun and exciting games 8)

It's a team tournament and all players will play all maps once. You will never play the same opponent more than once, so all will play six games against different opponent on each map. Therefore we need six players on each side. On the German side we currently are 5-6 players (Mlazar, Morge, LandMarine, Honour, Navaroegun, (Cavehobbit)) and on the Allied 3-4(?) (Protectivedaddy, Guardsman, Jcb, Coreysr(?)). There are some players who will participate in RTT, but not playing GJS, that may be interested in this tournament? Once we got six players on each side there will be a draw who will play who on the maps.

A win in each battle will give the team 1 point. The team with the highest total number of points when all games has been played will win.

All maps are ready except for Pegasus as I wait for the Escoville battle to end. There will be some surviving units from this battle fighting in Pegasus...

Could all of you mentioned above please confirm you will play in the tournament so we know how many more we need to recruit.

I'm in lol

Honour, you will play all six maps once against one opponent per map, a total of 6 games for you.

(this is counter to the 6 X 6 style tournaments resulting in 36 games, seemed too much... lol)

This did seem like quite a lot...and nothing against anybody but could get kinda boring at times, especially as the Allies at Carpiquet!

I don't recall doing well against you lol.
Maybe in the tourney maps I can do better.
Normal scenarios here are so restrictive.

two measley transports and my forces are

So far we got:

German commanders
Honour
Morge
Landmarine

Allied commanders
Jcb
Guardsman

I'm on the reserve list if we can't get enough players. Will send some invitations to a couple of players.

If there is no additional recruits could we play as 3x3 but facing the same opponent twice though on a different map - might add abit (seeking revenge in second battle etc.)

I'm in if we have the room (balanced sides).
