As it seems Bieville has been lost I will have to recreate the map, so the map pack will not be ready for another day or two.

Sounds like a plan to me... :)

Thanks for your help, but it’s not. I think the map is in the June 10th AM pack and this seems to have been lost for everyone. Could be that Jon made a June 10th PM that overwrote the AM pack.

Remaking the map is no problem as there's aerial showing the map viewtopic.php?f=87&t=38844&p=392473&hil ... le#p392473
Half of the map already finished :)

June 15th map pack (including the remake of the Bieville map) been sent to Jcb for him to check if I've made some serious mistakes.

Map pack for June 15th.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... _JUN15.LST

How to download the GJS'44 maps into Battle Academy
1. Run BA on your Mac, PC or iPad
2. If you do not already have GJS'44 on your system, skip ahead to Step 8
3. Choose Multiplayer (at the bottom)
4. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
5. Choose the My Challenges tab (at the top) then press New Challenge
6. Select a GJS'44 Campaign scenario and then Delete Campaign (bottom right)
7. Press X until you get back to BA start screen
8. Choose Campaigns (at the bottom)
9. Choose Download Community Scenarios (at the top)
10. Choose Download a Campaign Package from the Internet (top right)
11. Copy the link https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... _JUN15.LST into the URL box
12. Click the green tick
13. Back at the campaigns list, select "GJS44 v1.55 - June 15th" and click Download the Selected Campaign (bottom centre)
14. This should download everything that you need
15. Press X until you get back to the BA start screen and choose Multiplayer
16. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
17. Either go to the My Challenges tab and click the New Challenge arrow. This list will now show GJS'44 v1.55… Bieville, Escoville and Pegasus Bridge.
18. Or go to the Accept Challenges tab and click the scenario that you're supposed to be fighting (if your opponent has already setup your game)
After all that, you can play GJS'44 on any platform.

Totally awesome instructional vid by fellow gamer IDjester, explaining how to download and setup GJS'44... Thanks mate. NICE!

And remember to report immediately to Jcb and me if you find any bugs.

Good luck, and remember to have fun

Hi everyone,

The last week or so we (Jcb and Cavehobbit) have been discussing the future of GJS. Due to what we experience as a decline in fun as well as potential interest levels and the fact that the current situation on the campaign map does not offer enough exciting battles but somewhat imbalanced ones we think it's time to end GJS. Another reason is that we don't have a GM as a driving force, which we think is necessary for this campaign game. It worked for a time, but it's no good having such a situation for a long time. As it is, we will step down from our current positions as supreme commanders. If any of you want to continue playing till the end we will happily help you by giving all material we have in form of maps, counters and all map packs being used. And we think even play a map or two if called upon.

Another reason for ending GJS is that there are new projects starting soon, like Navaronegun's RTT campaign. We are going to be involved in this campaign game as we know some of you will as well.

But, we don't think it would be right to just turn our backs on GJS and walk away. As a finale we would like to create some fun scenarios similar to the GJS Ninja tourney scenarios, i.e. battles with more units on each side. These new scenarios would be based on the current situation on GJS for June 16th "what if's".

We would like to thank all of you who have participated in GJS, both current and former players. A special thanks to GL88, wherever you are! This has been a fantastic experience and the legacy will be carried on in future campaign games based on the GJS system.

So the roadmap for the ending of GJS from our part will be to play the June 15th battles, then we create the special ending scenarios based on the situation at dawn June 16th. The big finale party will be when we play these new scenarios and just have fun, and reminisce about all the fun we had!

I agree with LandMarine - it is a shame.

I would like to thank all involved for giving me the opportunity to take part.

As for Pegasus, I'm am suited and booted the German General creating the scenario.

True...a shame. :(

But there are other great things on the horizon also, RTT is eagerly anticipated by us all.

My thanks also to GL88 for expanding this into a great tourney but, let's not forget that it was Granfali that started the original idea. 8) And thanks to Cavehobbit and JCB for jumping in and taking over to keep this going!

Looking for ward to the last few battles.

Hey, you still can, but Jcb and I won't be supreme commanders or administrating the campaign. We'll be around as sub-commanders playing battles.

Really, GJS, GL88s, and you gentlemen all gave me the impetus to see what could be done with BA and without all this, RTT'42 would never have happened.

Well then it was one hell of a ride. Glad to have gotten aboard! RTT should be really fun though! Unfortunately Allies will become enemies, and enemies allies!

Bad news indeed! GJS has been my main game for about a year. I have to find something else to do now. My gf and her annoying dog will be happy for sure. I never thought the campaign would run to the end. It was too long to begin with and progressed too slowly.

Many, many thanks to all of you participating, planning, managing the campaign. I have had so much fun. I have had countless moments just sitting there, waiting for the enemy to return my game turn.

But, as Cavehobbit wrote, it's not over yet. Let's finish this day and then end the campaign officially on the next day by a few large scenarios including as many units as possible based on the troops still left in the game. I hope that those final battles on the 16th then can give us a "winning" side.
