Delbruck (Aragonese) defeats ulysisgrunt (Taureg) 61-40.
The Taureg camel swarm is a scary sight. With some luck the foot soldiers of Aragon held on long enough to allow the knights time to do their work.

wellsonian (Roman) defeats angel42052 (Bosporan) 59-33.
A tenacious battle well fought by Angel. But the Roman discipline prevailed. Very fun game.

Re: Tournament News and Diary . . .
ConstantinIX will be away on holiday until July 11th and will have limited opportunity to play during this period. Please be patient if you have a game in progress with him. I will not accept claims for matches under the 7 day rule. This will affect matches in Late Antiquity Division A and High Middle Ages Division A.
kraff is also away, but just until Monday.

Re: First Time Control check this Sunday 27/6 . . .
I need to start doing this check in detail now so that I can get it resolved by Sunday, the actual day of the check. For those who are new to the tournament, this is the first of 2 formal Time Control checks. The second one is in 2 weeks time. For the first check, players need to complete just 1 match in each section that they have entered. This is to make sure that we have no non-starters just sitting in the tournament without letting me know. Exemptions from this are giving to those playing in the Themed Event, because they are asked to prioritise those matches before anything else, and to players who have joined the tournament through the "reserves" process after the tournament has started.
In Classical Antiquity, there are just 2 players who have not posted a result. The players are . . .
harveylh (exemption from Themed Event)
nyczar - PM sent 22/6, not opened yet
In Late Antiquity the players are . . .
Triarii (exemption from Themed Event)
devoncop (exemption as reserve)
snooky51 (exemption from Themed Event)
LindsayCole - no information
in Early Middle Ages everyone has passed.
In Biblical the players are . . .
klayeckles - no information
bomber23 - no information
In High Middle Ages the players are . . .
nyczar - PM sent 22/6, not opened yet
SLancaster - no information
Triarii (exemption from Themed Event)
Kerait - no information
Supervark - no information
In the Themed Event there were no problems at all.
So there are a number of players who do not have exemptions who have not got a result in yet with just a few days to go to the deadline. I will be writing to all those players today to ascertain if matches are in progress and to see if anyone has taken on too many matches. Overall, the situation is very good again. Thanks.

Division B
devoncop (Bosporan 11AD with Roman allies) beat joggy (Roman 285AD with Frankish allies) by 49 to 2
Bosporan morale proved more resilient in a number of very tight head to heads which meant the result flattered the Bosporans.
Thanks to my opponent.
