Hey guys!

Just a quick note to confirm that after some personal vicissitudes i'm back. The "two days" during i was going to be absent somehow turned into two months (seems that worldwide health crisis can indeed do that to a personal schedule :) ). I'm treating myself with Red Steel right now, but after that I expect to resume the work in the mod, although I'm a bit anxious about what the new version of OoB will do/have done to The Spanish Prelude :/...

Also, THANKS A LOT to those who tried the bombing scenario. I will review you comments with great care when i resume the work with that beast (although probably i will start with something less intimidating :) ).

Anyway, hope everyone here is doing great staying home and taking care of himself. Read you soon, I hope :)

Hey there LN!! Ya, I saw all the corrections coming in through the Google Doc. Feel free to send me more stuff, since I do have some free time on my hands, working from home and what not.

The mod will continue to be developed or the author has cooled down ?

In fact I'm just heating the damned thing up, thanks for the interest :)

These last weeks i have indeed working in the mod and i want to accelerate towards a new release before real life happens again. The Spanish Prelude looks like this, and my plans are launching this 0.75 version at some point during June.

Image

Rafdobrowolski has done a WONDERFUL work correcting the texts and the mod should work well enough with the new vanilla version of the OoB (although now the game resizes the pics of the events, instead of cropping them, and it will take me some time to readjust the little buggers  ). Also, some work still have to be done in several new scens (specially regarding IA in late turns, which i find challenging to control)... but i feel that the release is feasible in these next weeks, yes.

And after that, only two scens will remain, although probably Brunete will be a double shot. Iron Ring is currently done and playable (2/3 of the turns, at least). But i want to dedicate enough time to both battles since they are among the most well know clashes of the war.

So, yep, that's the plan :)

EDIT: I have edited the first post in the thread with the descriptors of the new scens, in case anyone is interested. One of them is a what-if scenarios that the player can choose instead the hypervitaminated air scenario that could cause problems for some computers.

I'm running out of excuses and finally i will have to play PzC2 :)

Hopefully the 0.75v will be available before, so i will retain the strategic initiative in the war

Thanks for letting me know, Gabe, it's great to see that the Spanish Civil War receive some love in the digital wargaming scenery :)

I have erased the link to the 0.45v in the first post of this thread since the new one should be available soon. Anyway, in the unlikely case someone can not wait a few days to fight in Spain, just let me know and i will pm him the old link asap :D

This week i have completed my first playthrough of the 13 scens without any major bug, so unless catastrophe, I'm quite confident i will release the 0.75v within June (ok, maybe the first week of July is also a possibility ;) ), as announced

Thanks for your interest, Uzbek :)

I think I never played the spanish mod for PC1, Uzbek... do you recommend it? Is it at leat worth a search for it in the web? I assume the campaign would be for the germans in the Legion Condor, like in PC2, am I wrong ?

EDIT: I'm an allmighty Panzer II! At last! To the charge! xD
