Re: Naval Academy Mod
Wonderful!
I'll test it this weekend: probably not do everything, but at least see if the number of fighters/ bombers 'survive' to MP replay.

Re: Naval Academy Mod
Well I was kidnapped by wife this week end, gardening and other joyousness
Finally I found a couple of hours for finally test the new command.
And IT'S WORKS!!!
My turn:

Opponent turn (replay):

As you can see in the debug windows, the number of fighters/bombers are memorized.
So a big hurrah to Pip!
(You win a free copy of AmacII [when it'll be finished]
)
edit: better screens

Just as a reminder, the AddCustomOrder functionality won't be generally available until the release of the next update.

Thanks Pip, Amaris raises an interesting question...pipfromslitherine wrote:Just as a reminder, the AddCustomOrder functionality won't be generally available until the release of the next update.

Will campaigns/scenarios designed for BA1 remain forwards compatible with BA2?
Is there a (even very approximate) ETA for BA2 yet? Like Christmas 2013, Summer 2014, for example?
I'm keen to develop some Pacific scenarios, mixing stuff from NAM, Dieppe, and Richcat's new naval models...
But am cautious of developing something that might not be compatible with BA2 when it comes out...
Thanks!!

Re: Naval Academy Mod
That would be cool if we could transfer files from BA1 to BA2. Saving time and effort.

Re: Naval Academy Mod
We are aiming to make BA2 as backward compatible as possible, so any required changes should be quick and easy.
That said, it won't be anytime soon, so don't hold off modding efforts on that account!
Cheers

New computer crash! Not even an entire year without crash! I'm cursed!
The good new is the my backup is safe.
The bad new is that I'll have not computer during the SAV process

If it 'aint the users, it's the microelectronic demons themselves...
Shame you can't threaten to flamethrower them, to scare 'em into submission! (the computers, not the users... Although... now you come to mention it?!

Re: Naval Academy Mod
Well coming soon? Not exactly.
Not for a computer problem: it was a minor bug in fact. I could fix it.
First, remember that:
I need a little break to recover.
Before resuming work on my Naval mod.
So do not expect a release until mid July! And I say mid-July if all goes well ; usually when I say this a server crash.

Re: Naval Academy Mod
Merci Amaris!! Nice work... I see a great future for you as a Naval Archictect!
I've just PM'ed you two more 3d models (hopefully our last)
1x USN Avenger torpedo bomber
1x Japanese fishing boat (for scouting, or carrying scouts, around the multitude of little Pacific islands)
When you get a chance (absolutely low priority) please could you shrink the minesweeper model and lower it further into the water (to show less red from the lower hull, and to keep its mast height shorter than the destroyer model that's next to it; alternatively, might need to grow the destroyer slightly?)... If you place one of the current minesweepers (the smallest ship) next to the carrier (largest ship), it will be more obvious what I mean about relative sizes.
PS. Please can we have the surfaced and submerged submarine too?
