Epic battle, jc walked away with 5 units, I walked away with 7. Allies had two flags and were within inches of perhaps catching at two more. Lack of movement got me in the end. And jc's being a beast. Throwing helmets and stones at the end is right. What a blast....

Two small Allied breakthroughs quickly extinguished by very well placed 88's. Made the same attempt at two different points as Allied forces in a few games now and manage to get into the German field just enough to end up throwing units away trying to expand my front.

Allies have taken two flags, although one of those pretty precariously... Pushed 3 units within 2 squares of a third flag... including 5 tanks, 5 infantry and 1 recon car inside the central fortress...
BUT... the cunning Mr Tindall snuck a brave and hardy scout round my rear, took out a 7/8 engineer in forest, and courageously bagged my HQ flag despite coming under heavy mortar fire from two positions...

Well done JT... A truly fab game... My most enjoyable Hillman so far... You played the better tactics and the better man won...!!
This is the closest I've come as the Allies so far... Let's keep the secrets between us, eh?... Maybe next time?

Arcticpost and gl88s are being too modest. Germans only won on a technicality, both times. Never have I seen the Allies squeak so close. They showed me how it could be done. Jon's swap-and-fire tactics are particularly deadly. Nuff said!

Hehe... JT you're a gentleman and a man of modesty... You won fairly on cunning... Really great game!!... But, yup, I think we may have cracked it together... Will have to try this new tactic in my next two games...

Hugely glad I could swap and fire with my squadron of Shermans/Fireflies... otherwise I'd never have got past your invincible 3 stripe StuG... He took 3 tanks off me all by himself, sigh... Man I need to learn to use those StuGs better... In the right blocking location, they're supreme killers!!
