Weekly round-up
All attention has now switched to the relegation battle in Division A where 6 players are still not clear of the drop. GDod (Byzantine) and Questar17 (Gepid) should be safe with 3 wins each already, but batesmotel (Roman), Triarii (Kingdom of Soissons), nyczar (Roman) and sunnyboy (Germanic Horse Tribes) all need at least one more win to stay away from the bottom. Only the minor places left to be decided in Division B where Aetius39 (Byzantine) has secured second place after his fifth win of the season. Ironclad (Western Hunnic) defeated BishUK (Roman) in the vital relegation match in Division C to move off the bottom of the table and leave Doyley50 (Palmyran) as the relegated player. In Division D a seventh consecutive win for snooky51 (Sassanid) has moved him into second place just 1 point behind Conteshard (Roman), who also has 7 wins. Their match together will now decide the outcome of this division. In Division E a fourth win for Blagrot (Ancient British) has kept his slim promotion hopes alive, but he still needs maximum points from his last 4 matches to deny TomoeGozen (Sassanid) automatic promotion. In Division F gjhabcvhj (Roman) defaulted on his last 2 matches this week to give welcome points to strugglers phlewis (Roman) and McHarg (Romano-British). McHarg now needs 4 points from his last 2 matches to avoid the wooden spoon and leave Herode_2 (Kingdom of Soissons) in bottom place.

Weekly round-up
Nosy_Rat (Ghaznavid) has regained "champion" status by winning Division A this week with a decisive victory against harveylh (Ummayyad). In Division B there was a fifth win for Challenge1 (Arab Conquest) and he now needs maximum points in his last 2 matches against lydianed (Norman) and NikiforosFokas (Byzantine) to overtake mr cholo (Dailami) and win automatic promotion to the top flight. At the bottom a sixth defeat for GDod (Rajput are Kaput) leaves him needing to beat bottom-placed NikiforosFokas (Byzantine) to have any chance of avoiding relegation. In Division C tyronec (Umayyad) completed an impressive first season by posting his eighth win to finish second behind MorkinTheFree (Scots-Irish). tyronec will almost certainly win a discretionary promotion to a higher level next season. Garokan (Spanish) recorded a big win in his last match to win automatic promotion from Division D. Blagrot (Andalusian) can still finish second if he gets 7 points from his last 2 matches. At the bottom snooky51 (Norman), Bluefin (French), carpenkm (Byzantine) and tmac11 (Polish) all still need points to move away from the relegation zone. In Division E MadMaxBot (Byzantine) now needs 3 points from his last match against Morat (Georgian) to overtake BobGanoush (Fatimid) and win automatic promotion, while in Division F Malabar26 needs just 6 points from his last 3 matches to win Division F.

Recovering superbly from a narrow defeat in his first match, Garokan and his Spanish army reeled off 8 successive victories to win promotion from Early Middle Ages Division D. Well played Garokan.

Weekly round-up
Not too much to report from the Biblical section where most of the matches have been played now. Division A finished last week, but everything depends on the last match in Division B where BishUK (Achaemenid) needs at least 2 points against lydianed (Egyptian) to deny kraff (Skythian) automatic promotion. In Division C SpeedyCM (Median) defeated deeter (Babylonian) in his last match to win automatic promotion. No developments in Division D again, but sarmation (Saka) has won Division E after defeating angel42052 (Assyrian) twice. Division F also finished last week.

Weekly round-up
harveylh (German) steadied the ship in Division A this week to get a resounding win against a struggling Nosy_Rat (Hungarian) to secure the championship. klayeckles (Irish) finished second with Snugglebunnies (Polish) third. The relegation battle is still wide open. ianiow (German) secured a third win of the season and should be safe now, but Nosy_Rat, sunnyboy (Bohemian) and XLegione (Teutonic) still need points and still have to play each other. ericdoman1 (Mongol) got the victory he needed to pip oscarius (Scots Isle) to the automatic promotion place in Division B, while in Division C tyronec (German) has taken the promotion place after Jagger2002 (Bohemian) could only score-draw against Questar17 (Scots). Although tyronec and Jagger2002 finished on the same number of points, and Jagger2002 was unbeaten all season, tyronec takes the top place because he has won 7 matches and Jagger2002 has only won 6. Questar17 has finished third. At the bottom 2 defeats for ahuyton (English) this week means that he is relegated. In Division D a gallant effort by SpeedyCM (Mongol) to deny Captainwaltersavage (Bohemian) automatic promotion failed at the very last hurdle when he was surprisingly beaten by struggling Garokan (Polish). Morat (Polish) has won promotion from Division E after recovering from his first defeat by comfortably beating toska (English), who was the only player left who could overtake him. There are still plenty of matches to be completed before the other issues in this division are resolved. There is nothing to report from Division F this week.

With 7 wins from 9 matches harveylh and his German army have narrowly outpointed klayeckles and Snugglebunnies to become the first champion of the new High Middle Ages section. Well played harveylh.

In the tightest of finishes, tyronec and his German army have won automatic promotion from Division C of High Middle Ages ahead of Jagger2002. Both players finished on 28 points but tyronec had more wins than his opponent (7-6). Well played tyronec.

With 8 wins from his 9 matches, Morat and his Polish army have stormed away from the opposition to win automatic promotion from Division E. Well played Morat.
