This very nearly ended up as Cannae, but the Huscarl wedge had just enough striking power to to win their engagement in time not to get surrounded. Well played positionally by wellsonian, but his units betrayed him.

Kerait (German (Imperial) with Hungarian allies) defeats Blagrot (Scots) 52-18

Good game! A large stream divided the armies. The Scots, bombarded with German arrows, attempted a crossing. The Germans cut the crossing Scots down. No doubt the stream ran red with blood.

rs2excelsior has not contacted me by the deadline so all his remaining matches in Classical Antiquity Division E, Late Antiquity Division E and Biblical Division D have been awarded to his opponents by adjudication. I am sorry this has happened but he did pass the 2nd Time Control check having completed 10 matches across the 3 sections he had entered.

Division C

Morat (Ostrogoths/Germans) beat Ironclad (Hunnic - Western) 63-40.

Sprawling battle where Ostrogoths held on the flanks for long enough for their infantry and lancers to break up the Hunnic centre. Stern resistance from the Huns throughout - but the Ostrogoths just got and then held onto to the upper hand.
