My Danes formed up in a square checkerboard block. We knew there would be hprse archers and footarchers with spearmen. The idea was to charge to the infantry and make short work of them while using the box formation to hold of flanking attacks by the massed cavalry.

Well, the plan worked insofar as we made it to the infantry line and cut the foot troops down. However, the cavalry proved too hard to catch after I lost all my mounted troops. When I attacked he evaded, when he attacked he bounced.

A struggle that went the full distance.

Match was actually played, but result not reported. Burgot cannot remember the score, Sgt0gre has not responded to my PM as he has finished all his other FOG2DL matches.
