In total, 75 million tons of oil were produced during the war, accounting for three-quarters of all Soviet oil produced.

edit: I m replaying typhoon scenario with more fortifications and I m on turn 12, near the last objectives around moscow : all the mines/ anti tanks protections make the progression very slow but that make also the map unique and super fun to play. I like the challenge :" we have to pierce ! "

i like the explosive dogs ! it hurts ! But for now,i don't lose any units and i have no problem to advance . It is a great job as usual.

just a question : there are no more planes support but is it normal that even recon plane in cloudy weather can't see just the hex where there are positionned? it is difficult to see the artillery just behind the fortifications . I understand that no planes could fly. It is just a question .

Hi jefffoot77,

The game engine makes no exception for recon planes. The game engine does not know anything about recon planes, they do not exist in the basic game.

hello Phcas and all the team !


I just finished typhoon scenario : my feelings:

- I always play in chess mode (so it easier to kill units) and i finished the scenario on turn 39/41 ! i have rushed the last five turns and took heavy dmg to make the victory.
Futhermore, i used many artillery ( more than 10 ) and 3 B1 tanks who can clean any entrenched infantry and are very good against tanks too.( i used 7 or 8 fighters and no AA.)
Even with this army, it was hard at the end! i just have the luck to use B1 tanks to pass the main fort stongpoint near moscow. This stronghold fort (str = 20 ) was the most difficult to kill but with 2 B1 tanks who don't care of artillery , it was done.
The other strategy is that the siberian troops or tanks are compact and some suppression and attack make them surrender. Also, with 2 artillery like support, i could repel some counterattacks.
I think that many players will lose againt siberians troops if they don't use this strategy. Because 20 str for infantry and 15 str for tanks make a lot of damage ! But it is fun to resist them ! my prestige was more than 5000 at the beginning and after the siberian tropps attack, my prestige went down to 2500- 3000 ! I used also many troops like support after capturing all abjectives in south.

So it was hard and i was lucky ! very lucky with my B1 and support troops from south .

- the 3 given paratroopers are a good idea , i used them to capture some cities or airfield in north to get more prestige.
- i wasn't surprised by the explosives dogs this time . but it is a very fun unit to fight !
- partisans are not a problem because i just protected the main cities ( objectives)


my propositions : ( that are just ideas !)

- add more turns : i used chess mode, so 50 turns seems the minimum.
- the fort near moscow with 4 range view is impossible to destroy without B1 tanks . Or player will lose many troops with artillery behind the fort , so make this fort with 1 range view ? or make the strenght equal to 10? even 10 , i don't know how you can destroy it without B1 ?
- siberians troops are perfect like counter-attacks but i think the siberians tanks are too strong or too many . Maybe 4 or 5 less tanks would be good.


Some stranges things :

- i couldn't use transport boat in the south , in the harbour city to go faster, (to go directly in the other side ) , is it normal?
- is it normal that siberian troops are trying to go out the city (of moscow) ? so i just had to wait some of them with 2 artillery to destroy them. (near the anti-tank entrenchments )
- one time, near moscow , weather was good for the russians ( cloudy) and IA had the possibility to attack with planes but after this turn, i could'nt attack with my planes! so IA got good weather but not me ! ?? how is it possible ?
- is it normal that there is a boat near moscow on the river? first, i was thinking it was a bridge ! the skin is similar !
- is it normal that player can't purchase anti-tanks? no Marder? no better fast antitank than panzerjager ?


Thxs for this scenario, it was really epic at the end, a really special map unique in the history of panzer corps ! Many thanks to all team for all the hours spent in this mod !

Thanks for your reviews every time, it's very useful. Some answers to your questions:

It's a struggle for the Germans. Many died of cold and tanks stopped functioning. It may not be to easy. Remember in the first testplay's it was much to easy to take Moscow. After all the AI is not to smart. I am already happy that they can stop you so long :)
- the fort near moscow with 4 range view is impossible to destroy without B1 tanks . Or player will lose many troops with artillery behind the fort , so make this fort with 1 range view ? or make the strenght equal to 10? even 10 , i don't know how you can destroy it without B1 ?
In general the player have to expand his number of (strong) core artillery units from the Poland scenario on.
- siberians troops are perfect like counter-attacks but i think the siberians tanks are too strong or too many . Maybe 4 or 5 less tanks would be good.
The number of siberian infantry divisions and tank brigades are historical (24 infantry divisions 9 tank brigades. They made the the Germans never enter Moscow. They are strong because they are well trained and hardened soldiers. Do not complain about the enemy Herr General, look at your own skills :) :) :) Moscow and Khimki (Closes point the Germans came to Moscow) are secondary objectives. If you keep the primary objectives outside Moscow it will be enough to win.

Some stranges things :

No not normal, there were no transports added in the transport slots. I added Romanian Landingcrafts now (in the last available transport slot)
- is it normal that siberian troops are trying to go out the city (of moscow) ? so i just had to wait some of them with 2 artillery to destroy them. (near the anti-tank entrenchments )
The Siberian troops are coming from the east behind Moscow to counterattack the Germans. They are not defending Moscow City but do a counter attack on the Germans.

I do not know. Every new weather starts with the German turn. Second are the Soviets. So if it's cloudy and the Russian aircrafts are attacking you, your "cloudy" turn is already past, you have it before the Soviets not after it.

The boat is deleted now.

Yes, the first Marders come in februari 1942. Too late for this scenario.

i must admit that the scenario is very well balanced ! if there are not the two objectives in moscow, it is ok.

--> in the objectives, at the beggining, there are : " decisive victory: capture all objectives with at least 8 turns remaining " --> i think it is impossible .

Thxs again for this scenario, it was one of the best i have ever played in panzer corps.
Because the tension is growing gradually and it becomes epic at the end. After turn 20 , I only think of surviving for my core units!This is what is unique, Tobe very strong with a large army at the beginning but little by little, to be get fucked up . Very proud to have done it. ( with two turns by day ; 30 min for each turn ... that was so many hours of fun ! )

I tried to create a new folder in PG/Mods with the pack but it doesn't work.

just do this:

- copy the entire folder of your panzer corps game "panzer corps " in a place of your DD and rename it : " panzer corps pak"
- extract and overwrite the files of the PAK mod v0.44 ( only the folder "panzer corps" , not the folder "options) in the fodler " panzer corps pak"
- play and have fun!

Thank you for your answer but my english is poor, what do you mean by DD ?

And i have another problem i erase the panzer corps game because i thouht that with PG grand campaigns it will be ok but in fact the system ask me to reinstall Panzer Corps.
But i cannot find a link on slitherien website, everything is for PC2 now...And in my home page i have all the links to reinstall options like PC allied or PC sea lions but not for the original Panzer Corps surely because it was free if i remerber well.
So i don't know what to do . Sorry
