Please note . . .
If you have entered your name in the recruitment thread and then put "armies to follow" you can actually edit your first post when you come to post your army selections. If you make a second post in the thread then that is OK too, but I will eventually edit your first post with your army selections and then mark the second post "obsolete" and put it in "The Dustbin". In this way each player will have only one entry in each recruitment thread and we can avoid counting players twice.

Re: Do you know any of these players?
I know Epicouros!
I just joined. I chose Classical Antiquity & High Middle Ages.
Unfortunately, I had to put myself on the reserves list for Classical Antiquity as it filled up quite quickly while I was away...

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

A player has contacted me and he might be able to switch from Classical Antiquity to Early Middle Ages so you can play in CA as well. I will get back to you as soon as I know.

Re: Early Middle Ages; recruitment is now open . . .
Yuknoom has very kindly switched to EMA so that Epicouros can play in Classical Antiquity.
I'll go with
1) Italian Ostrogothic
2) Arab Conquest (early)
3) Lombard
Look forward to the league. -Tom

Re: Recruitment for Season 2 is now open . . .
Early Middle Ages currently has 32 and High Middle Ages has 39.
We still have a couple of weeks left in the recruitment period and we hope to get up to 40 in Early Middle ages and 50 in High Middle Ages. We still have a lot of invitations out there waiting to be opened and this includes some players from Season 1. If you know players who might be interested in joining the competition could you please ask them as soon as possible. Thanks.

Re: A team competition
Why are you running this competition at exactly the same time as the FOG Digital league, Eric? You must know that this is going to increase the likelihood of some players taking on too many matches at once and defaulting on some of them, or missing deadlines. We have made it quite clear that we want to reduce the timespan of the FOGDL to 10 weeks a season so that there is more room in the calendar for other competitions, yet you have still chosen to go head-to-head with us even though we had indicated the starting date for our second season well before Xmas. I find it very disappointing that you should do this. Please explain why you have.ericdoman1 wrote:We will begin February 2nd.

Re: A team competition
It was to try something different. Over the last 2 years or so numerous comps have ran alongside each other, some of the present ones are coming to the end. It is also down to the community, if they wish to play in numerous comps it is up to them. Feedback has been good so I can't see a problem. Each round is a max of 12 turns to be played in 4 weeks, which is probably why players have agreed upon it. Also could you delete your post and just send me a pm, please.

Re: High Middle Ages; recruitment is now open . . .
There is just one place left in this section now.
There are also four reserve places available, two for the A/B divisions and two for the C/D divisions. Should we get up to 45 players interested in playing in this section then we will start a fifth division and keep recruitment open beyond 31st January.
